Best keyboard live sound rig out there for the money. Beats Motion Sound, Barbetta, etc. hands down. Crisp highs coupled with thundering low end create the perfect balance for the wide range of keyboard sounds.
I use the combination XM200 w/2 tens plus the 15" Yorkville extension cabinet in live performance situations and at "2" on the volume setting, it keeps up with the rest of my classic rock band with no problem.
I play LH bass on my keyboard plus a B3 Hammond setting in the right hand area PLUS I use a Yamaha DGX202 board for pianos and horns, etc. Everything is mixed down through a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer first, then lined into the single input of the Yorkville for a great balanced output. The Yorkville's XLR line out is handy to run into the PA mains when playing larger rooms.

The 4-way EQ settings are awesome, coupled with the "Scoop" knob that further enhances the bass w/o sacrificing the crisp highs coming through the horn.

I bought Yorkville due to its reputation of being built like a tank. So far, so good.

--been a professional musician for 40 years
--I'd replace this rig with the same one in a heartbeat
--Love the punchy sound--wish they'd put side handles on it though as it's heavy.
--I've had the Peavey TNT and the Fender BXR and Rumble amps and Yorkville's a mile ahead of either one.
--wish it had side handles instead of a top strap to haul around
--Yorkville is probably the most underrated amps in the industry. Quietly leading the pack with excellent value coupled with built-like-a-truck construction.

A+ for a small package at a comparable price to Chinese products. Love the possiblility of a 2 ohm rating!. The ext. speaker out makes my little MINI bass stack seem huge with my 1x15 yorkie bottom! Mute button, Pre/Post Direct out options, effects loop, headphones, limiter, tuner out....great stuff.

I too was bit disappointed from the tones.....at first! I'm used to the old Ampeg tones but I couldn't dial in anything modern on any Ampeg Combos. I'm Ampeg through and through even with my guitar set-up but this thing really shines once you put some time into the pots. You can create anything from this little monster!

I also run a DJ rig with some NX25P series and two tiny 10 inch nx200p subs. Huge bang for the buck and a warranty they stand by!This was the reason I switched to Yorkville for a bass rig. Next is my guitar rig !

Fortunately I live in the Toronto / New york area and even drove to Yorkville to pick up some accessories I needed! SWEET! Try buying Mackie SRM series mains and waiting 3 months for a driver from China!!.....Even though you bought it around the corner at the crappy guit. Center! BS that place! HENCE WHY GOOD PRODUCTS ARE FAIRLY PRICED AND NOT MASS CONSUMED! Go ahead, buy Behringer. 2 weeks of real life use and it'll be in the shop!

All was said above. This amp, as well as their other products, beat my old favorites. The Ampeg BA-115 and BA-210SP are obsolete. Don't need built in crappy effects for bass! Yorkville has opened my eyes!

I got this amp from an online music store (who was seling it on ebay0
With all the info below you know what it has and has not.
I use a real tube bass driver pedal to warm up the tone. would have been nice if it include a tube drive you could dial in but in this price range what it has is fine.
but as far as features what it has works great!

I have to agree with the guy that says it is missing a little on the bottom. If i hook up my bagend 2x10 it explodes with round bass.
But I have to admit, losing some of bottom end has worked great!
One thing that happens to me at every show (where I have a full PA) i have to turn down may bass rig (doesn't get above 2) because the boom from the amp feeds into the drum mics (and all mics in general vacinity). With this amp I can turn it up a little higher and here the bass-mids-highs being balanced appropriately.
If I am playing a gig without PA support I use the XM200(the 15 incher) or hook them both up in series to produce a monster rig.
ONE LAST VERY IMPORTANT THING!!!
the leson tweeter sucks! You can not turn it down just disconnect it (which i did). I have never liked the sound of a tweeter (sounds harsh). I also use fender P-BASSes with passive pickups and I always here the highpitch "hiss" drives me up the wall.
I also noticed when comparing the 2x10" version to the 15"
the 2x10 will produce more air flutter because of the way it was ported (shoul dhave been a shelf like the 15" or they should have put the ports in the back in my humble opinion!~

I must agree with the guy that better packing would help.
the 15" was scuffed on the corners and there was a cut in the carpeting. I don't care about beauty so I never complained...
But a little bubble wrap or some foam plus cardboard corners would prevent this problem!!!

i bought this amp new for 6 something. so far sao good. it has a single channnel, effects loop, limiter and headphone jack. the one thing i really wish it had was a compressor, casters , and decent handles. i guess thats one way they keep the price down.

right now i'm using an old ibanez blazer bass with new emg active pu's it really sounds sweet. right now, i'm in a surf band, and i seem to not be able to find a nice clear sound that lends to the surf theme.but that could be because i really haven't been able crank it yet, so i don't know how the distortion, or amp noise will be. it has a limiter switch, so that's good.

i've been playing for about 4 or so years. i just have the amp, some pedals, and the bass. if it were lost, i'd flip! i love the fact that it's canadian made, and sounds fine. you cannot beat this amps bang for your buck. and it is constantly compared to amps almost twice it's price (ampeg portabass series mainly) all the reports on the amp were more than favorable, and a freind of mine in a punk band swears by them. and punks are kinda hard on their gear!

Manufactured in 2003 in Canada. I play a newer model P-Bass through it, jazz and some jump blues when the other guys in the band are in the mood. This amp is 2 x 10 with a un-tuneable tweeter and the same controls as the other reviewers described. I gave the amp an 8 for features, it has what it needs but nothing fancy.

Originally I was unimpressed with the tone I am playing with a piano, trumpet & guitar combo and the bass tone just wasn't there. I added a matching Yorkville 1 x 15 cabinet and wow! it really completed the package. I have more volume then I will ever need or want, but the 15 speaker seems to give the amp the room it needed, now when I make adjustments subtle or otherwise the difference in tone is noticable. I have been able to tailor a tone that is mine. This amp replaces a workingmans 10. The SWR was a great amp but I didn't feel like I was making my own sound. The Yorkville gives me that. I give it an 8 because the combo alone wouldn't do it and I had to add a cabinet. Now I need a dolly when I go to gigs.

Yorkville has a reputation for reliability and they deserve it. This amp has stood up to alot of mishaps in the year I have owned it. I won't go into the details but it has been knocked off stage, fallen to the ground out of the minivan and my wife used it as a ladder while painting the ceiling in the basement. It has never missed a beat. I have a theory that someday all that will be left of the world will be Boss pedals and Yorkville amps.

I have been playing bass for the past ten months, playing six string accoustic for 20 years. my band members and I went to our very first gig at the largest venue in town, with a gathering of nearly 300 people. The yorkville xm200t "passed with flying colors. The volume was set at 4 for the sound check that afternoon and moved to 6 at the performance. I am more than pleased with this amplifier!!!

BBN5II. Ihave a yamaha accoustic guitar, been playing for 20plus years
I have all of my gear insured, but if anything would ever happen to the xm22t, I would not hesitate to buy another one. Most 200 watt amplifiers are going to cost a better part of a thousand dollars.

Took this Amp out on a Loan from a Local Music Store. New Amp. 2002. One Channel. Effects Loop. Headphone Jack. I would use most features. I would use this Amp in Small to Medium-Small Venues, DI'd if necessary. Quite suitable for Rehearsal/Practice/Jamming situations.

BassMasters are probably one of the most indestructable Bass Amps out there, Bar None ! Utterly dependable, have and would Gig without backup anytime. Never had a breakdown with a Yorkville Amp, and I am on my second ( the BM200T ). This XM200T would have been my third, but I'll explain why shortly !

Playing Bass 34 Years. This is a Beautiful Bass Amp at an incredible Price. (The Price New is $599.00 Canadian + Tax ). Unbeatable value in a Bass Combo. The reason I am not going to buy one is that it is substantially heavier than my BassMaster BM200T. I would estimate the XM200T at about 75 Lbs., versus 57 Lbs. for my BM200T. I have sent an e-mail to Yorkville to change their Product Brochure, which states the XM200T weighs 57 Lbs. This is misleading. I live in a Third-Floor Walk-Up Apartment and I have a bad back, so Weight and Portability are indeed a concern in any new Amp Purchase. In the meantime, my Amplification needs are met just nicely by the BM200T. I am also looking at the Ashdown Electric Blue 12-150 Combo. It's Small, and weighs in at just 36.3 Lbs. ! Of course, it costs more than Yorkville.

This is Yorkville's newest (Summer 2002) combo amp. It's a 2x10 with dual horns as well. The amp is fully featured IMHO. An Effects loop, Tuner Out, Ballanced Line Out (switchable for line level - with effects or DI out and dry) The new look for Yorkville is great, my wife even lets me keep the amp in the living room now. (HUGE + for me) Also, the amp has a headphone jack that defeats the speaker so you can practice with great amp sound without bothering those around you. There is a -6db and a 0db input, use the 0db if you have passive pickups and the -6db if you have active pickups. If that's not enough for ya, the amp also has a scoop control, and a four band EQ. Right now I have all eq's at center with the treble down a bit, and the scoop control nearly maxed. Great tone and it lets me get a fantastic slap out of it easily. You can also run an extension cab with this combo.

I'm using an Ibanez SR645 5 string with this amp and it sounds great. I wanted the 2x10 for the tight sound, and this amp delievers. I've been playing music for over 15 years (though just recently moved to bass) semi-pro and amature. The sound by it's self is tight and is loud. I am playing with a 5 piece rock band so I decided to add the BC115 1x15 Extension Cab to it and that just makes the deal. The 15 is great for adding bottom and the 2x10 keeps it all sounding great. It's a room filler.

It's brand new, but it looks and feels solid. I will gig with it without a back up because our old bass player did with his Yorkville.

I do have some concerns here after the experience of my former bass player had. He had troubles with his amp that never did get fixed. However he's got a black cloud following him wherever he goes so I'll chance it ;)

The price is very right! I saved about $1000 by going with Yorkville instead of say Genz Benz. This amp sounds everybit as great as the more expensive products and actually comes with more features. Having the name Yorkville on your amp won't make people say "wow" but the sound will.
I looked at every 2x10 combo I could find, and even looked at heads with cabs. This became the best solution for me. I look at it this way. 200Watts isn't enough to fill a stadium but anytime I'll be playing larg gig I'll be pluged in to the sound system. I needed great sound on the stage and for small gigs. This amp fills that bill with honors.
