I've had it for over a year now with pretty moderate use, and a few friends who just like to pound on my drums and kick as hard and fast as they can, without it breaking.
However, the joints on the link between the two pedals become very squeaky, and can get stiff, putting a lot of resistance on the left pedal. I've to oil the joints on this link quite a few times, and it's getting worse :(
I would use these to gig with, but would much rather use Tama Iron Cobras, or a Pearl Powershifter double pedal. These 7002s just don't feel as smooth to me as other pedals I've tried in the same price range.

I've been playing for about 2 years, while my dad has been playing for 30+ years. He bought a Tama Swingstar in 2000, and I've pretty much taken that over :)
I wish I would have tried these out before I got them, but I trusted the DW name and just grabbed the box and got them. They are far from bad pedals, but I personally prefer the other pedals that I've tried within the same price range.
If stolen or lost, I would most likely get different pedals, probably Iron Cobras if I could not afford longboards. I do like these pedals for their adjustability, but I dislike the feel of the pedals. The left pedal feels a tiny bit delayed than the right pedal, and they both just don't feel as smooth as I feel they should.

I used it for regular bi-weekend gigs for approx 4 months. In that time it broke on me during "live" performance on 3 seperate occassions. After the third incident I REFUSE to use these pedals again.
There is a nut and bolt that holds the drive chain to the pedal foot board. The bolt sheered off on all three "break downs"

The pedal was under warranty. I figured that if I dropped a line direct to DW they might just send me a few "nuts&bolts" . Dw got back to me by email and pretty much said "it's under warranty go back and see the people you got it from" That in it's self was like having a door slammed in my face.

Been playing 20yrs+. I've played mostly Pearl deals, and NEVER had a problem with them breaking down. I just bought a second pearl pedal as a back up.
If these pedals were lost or stolen, I would never get another set. I have great confidence in pearl, and would consider trying Tama. I will trading my DW's in for a Tama Iron cobra. Just to get rid of the DW's and to try the Iron Cobra out(It's got to be more reliable than DW).
When I first got the DW I thought the pedal felt good, great action too. Then it let me down 1...2...3 times. (never again)
