Double Pedal which easily converts to two singles. Dual chain drive and dual sided tilting beaters. Adjustable in any way you should ever need, independent beater, pedal adjustment. I have the older model with the solid footplates (as with current Avengers), built solid enough for 8 years of heavy use that I have put it through.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Gigged with this pedal for about 8 years just fine. Very solidly built, never needed to replace parts. Only drawback is the slight loosening of the U-joints in the slave shaft, but that is normal with almost all pedals after many years of use. Still very usable with lag.

Customer Support : 8
I have used Gibraltar pedals and rack systems for years with decent service when needed. Their parts are top notch and I have never had any hardware failures, simply mispacked parts with some rarely ordered pieces, all were resolved through CS in time.

Overall Rating : 8
I switched from these pedals to Axis AL-2s simply because I wanted direct drive and I couldnt pass up a chance to try them out. The Axis pedals are fantastic, but that doesnt diminish how well the Intruders served me for years. If I had lost these I would have replaced them, but I may have opted for the Direct Drive model. If you prefer chain, and dont mind a conventional cam, you cant go wrong with these. Aside from the cam, these are every bit as good as the Tama IC pedals.

I do wish my model had included the onboard tools, but it was an earlier version.
