I bought this card about three years ago from Thomann.de and it has worked nicely for me. I use it in my home studio with Cubase SX and my Genelec 1030a active monitors. you can now get it for about 75e.

I used it to record:
acoustic guitars - I just plug them straight to the card.
Electric guitars - Through my Marshall JMP-10 speaker emulator jack.
Vocals - I have a Rode NTK mic. I plug the power unit straight to the card.
Keyboards - through the MIDI ports.

IT has worked great for me, It sounds great for the price I paid.
Working with Cubase SX has some issues: for example every time Cubase crashes, it changes the ASIO driver in to the default one.

I have a PC with 1.8GHz Athlon and 1G memory.
I had problems with monitoring delay, which I solved by installing a second winXP on my PC and by configuring it for Audio use only:
no USB, no internet, no APCI, I disabled all the XP services I didn't need and changed the priority to back ground services.

In the new striped winXP, Cubase hardly ever crashes and the response time of the software is much faster. no delay problems either.

I'm now buying an analog mixer so that I can have better control over the recording process. I wish I've bought a mixer ages ago... :)
