Type and Construcion :
FMP Street FX Cross Crasher 10"

This is my first FMP product from the Street FX line. They are more or less the same, I believe made of a cheaper alloy, which is then hammered and coated in black. Not sure how mush the sound is changed from the regular series, but they sure look great, and cost a little less.

The Cross Crashers are basically like two Celtic Bells which are domed a bit, hammered with dimples, and placed together with jingles (removable) in between them. This creates a nice sandwich for aggressive and tunable chicks and sloshes, anywhere from hats to tambourines.

Sound Quality : 8
In the stock arrangement you get the full range of sounds depending on how tight the bolts are. Closed/tight gives you sharp chick sounds, similar to hats, but higher in pitch. The more open you go, the sloshier it gets, and the more it cuts. I have mine just tight enough that as soon as the initial attack is gone, the decay is extremely short. This gives sounds similar to other "stacker" items out there such as ribbon crashers, Max Staxs, etc.

Reliability/Durability : 10
As with all FMP, I cant imagine it breaking, due to the natural flexibility of the alloy, which will bend back to normal without cracking if it is bent out of shape. I bash these pretty hard since they are designed for cutting effects, and there is no misshaping yet, and the coating seems to hold up just fine to nylon tipped sticks.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No dealings for issues, but they answer emails quickly.

Overall Rating : 8
Aside from these, I have a couple of Celtic Bells and a Gothic Radius. I love the new options and looks FMP has offered, and plan to get more in the future. They turn heads and get comments all the time from other drummers, and let me produce sounds that none of the other guys can pull off.
