These cymbals have the bright cutting attack any rock/metal drummer needs or wants. These cymbals have a crisp, clean, cutting and bright tone to them and are absolutely loud! Even though my 16" crash is considered somewhat small, it still has the ability to stay par with my 18" crash. The 18" crash works well for crashing and riding; and the 16" has the explosive cut that you would look for in a crash cymbal. These cymbals have the perfect amount of decay and have a low amount of "weird" overtones. These crashes are great for all rock/metal drummer out there!
Reliability/Durability

This crashes can take a major beating. They have still not even shown any signs of fracturing or wearing down. I have smacked both my crashes very hard in performances and they still look and sound the same as when I first got them, they may have stick marking on them but they're not even close to cracking. These cymbals are tough!

Again, Sabian has answered my emails within 6-7 hours of sending.. they have excellent customer support and have very sophisticated and detailed replies that answer all of your questions. I have never nedded customer support for these cymbals.

I've been playing for 5-6 years and have had one of these crashes for about 4 years and they are still awesome... if you play rock/metal, get them!
