Sabian AA Metal-X Ride 20"

B20 bronze, Heavy, 20" ride with brilliant finish and wide lathing. With an unlathed bell.

This cymbal has some definite character to it. It is mostly used for more rock and metal oriented music, I would not really use this ride for jazz music even though it could be used for that anyways. This ride has a clear, cutting, and pure sound to it, it does not have a lot of over tones to it. When I was going to by my ride, I was originally looking at getting the 22" HH Power Bell Ride. But when I went to go and test it out, it wasn't really the bright ride I was looking for, so I decided to check out the 20" AA Metal-X ride right beside it, and I fell in love with it. Not only did it have the great rock/metal ride sound I wanted but it was almost half the price! Even though the bell may not be as big as the HH Power Bell it still as a great bell sound. Right now I'm looking at going up to the 22" AA Metal-X to match the rest of my kit. This ride is awesome!!!

I have had this ride for 4 years now and it still sound the same as when I bought it and has no cracks (I even bought it used). This ride is safe against a lot of the hard hitters out there and is strong enough to with stand a lot of punishment while playing. Like most Sabian cymbals it's made to last.

Even though I never really had to deal with customer support for this cymbal (and probably never will), I have e-mail Sabian before and they got back to me with about 6 or 7 hours. They truly are great.

I have only be playing for 5-6 years but I know a great cymbal when I here one, and this is one of them. If it were stolen or lost I would buy this cymbal again except a bit bigger (my personal preference). I love the clean pure and cutting sound that i get from all parts of this cymbal. This cymbal is affordable, reliable and sounds great, if you like rock/metal music and want a great ride get this now!!!
