low pitched & warm ride with a low profile & nice sized bell.not your average "rock ride" sounding ride.it really does have a vintage tone.i have two of these rides & they are very different in sound & appearance.#1 my favorite one has a nice high ended pitch that helps cut through.also the bell is to die for & almost plays itself.it's more of a rock ride than the other.#2 the second ride has a different sized bell.its bell is flatter with a bigger diameter.the bell is "thinner" sounding & more versatile.it takes more work to get the bell ping from this cymbal bell.the cymbal profile is also flatter.this cymbal has a built in dryness & warmth unlike the other ride.it's not as loud & piercing as the other ride.it's more versatile overall.

they seem real durable.sabians hold up the best in my opinion.it's a rock ride so the durable, weight is there.

ive been playing for 26 years & have tried many ride cymbals.i love cymbal #1.cymbal #2 is nice too but not as rock as the 1st.dont buy one of these without playing it first.my two rides are very different which makes me wonder about the consistency of this particular cymbal model beyond the usual cast cymbal differences.this cymbal would kill in a 24" size!i would buy another but i would handpick it for obvious reasons.
