Type and Construcion :
14" China. Hand made in China. Funny top hat type of mount. Also kind of bends upward toward the outside diameter, often catching the edge of your stick. Need to mount this a little lower than usual.
Brilliant brassy/bronze finish. No lathe work here, all hammers. Not even completely round. Thinner in some spots. Obviously hand made. These people must have no hearing by now, building and pounding on these things all day long.
Definitely unique.

Sound Quality : 7
Breaking glass was what was described to me. I think more like if my wife flat dropped a 12" pyrex glass square baking dish onto our ceramic kitchen floor, that would be closer. Not exactly breaking glass, more like a damn glass/metal explosion.
If very brittle metal would break like glass - that's the sound.
Doesn't ring. It screams crash, but with almost no resonance, if you can imagine. Kind of screams metal when you hit it. This is an "end of song" noise in my book. Death Metal people should love these.
Fast decay, really fast. Also, different places on the cymbal bring out somewhat different sounds even at the same diameter, obviously because of the hand-made process. A little problematic since a cymbal will rotate on the felt. No time to watch where it is in rotation.
Lastly, cuts through all other sounds. Do not need to hit this very hard.
Still, everyone should own one of these.

Reliability/Durability : 5
I just started back with drums, been at guitar a while. Played around with drums for a while years ago, so no expert here.
This seems like you could break it in time. But then again, they are so cheap, almost as cheap as a skin.
Also, like I said above, don't need to hit this as hard, unless you want to maim someone's ears closeby.
Durable for the money. It's cheap, remember? You're gonna break it sooner or later.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Supposedly a one year warranty. At this price, who cares? A similiar brand name will go over $100 easy. This is less than a quarter of that.

Overall Rating : 8
Just started back on drums, getting back my "metronome". Too much gear to mention. Also an active guitarist as a hobbyist. Play both drums and guitar everyday. Love to jam alone with my Line 6 Spyder drum tracks, my drums following, and a cold beer.
If this broke, or left me for some other reason, I would look around a bit, maybe a gentler Wuhan. This cymbal is a bit harsh for my style, but it is also kind of neat to have this dramatic of a crash for so little money. The arm it mounts on cost more than the cymbal!
This is one of those things you seldom hit, but when the sound is needed, you are really happy it is there.
I compared it on price.
I love the oddity of it and the looks. Nothing else on my kit like it.
I hate the edge problem. That little flare is capable of putting a splinter on my stick unless I watch how I hit.
But I think if you have room on your kit, you need this sound.

Type and Construcion :
Its great to be writing the first review for the ubiquitous Wuhan 12" china. Hand hammered Chinese bronze, though I dont know if it is cast or sheet. These come in many sizes from 12" up to 22" if I remember correctly.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the effect china. Trashy, loud, quick and punctuated. Applications can be found in any genre, but for metal and hard rock, they are right at home as harsh accents.

It may be cheap, many drummers get them free from Guitar Center with other purchases (how I came to own mine), but this is a valuable cymbal for any arsenal. These are great in combination with other cymbals such as in stack assemblies. I often place mine with a 12" A Custom splash on top for such a purpose.

Reliability/Durability : 6
Wuhans are hit or miss, but with their cheap cost, and 1 year warranty honored at many places, they are worth the risk. It is always recommended to try out a handful to find the best pick, as each Wuhan has its own voice, more-so than many other manufacturers. I have had great luck with mine, no cracks or dents after about 10 years of service.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Wuhan is supposed to have a 1 year warranty that more and more places are honoring, some with a no questions policy against cracks and breaks. Look around when you shop and ask what each merchant covers.

Overall Rating : 9
This is my only Wuhan right now, but it holds its own against my high dollar Zildjians and Factory Metal products. I am considering more, due to how cheap they are and the dark characteristics of the chinas.

The fact of the matter is that at some point or another, every drummer should have one of these. I feel that the 12" Wuhan is becoming a right of passage on modern drumkits.
