I got this kit on sale at Feedback Eindhoven (Holland) for only ???699,- I've got the natural birch finish, which looks even better in real life than it does on the website. The shells are made completely out of birch. My sizes are: 22*17.5" bassdrum, 10*8 & 12*9" toms, 14*14" floortom and 14*5.5" snare
The kit came with a full hardware pack, including 2 mini-boomstands, a bass pedal, a snare stand and a high-hat stand.
Overal the hardware was very good. Ofcourse the mini booms can't go as high as a full sized boom stand, but for me they are just right. the boomstand's are nice and heavy, and don't fall over easily.
The snarestand is quite good, but can be a bit wobbly at times.
The bass pedal is also of a great quality, especially for the price. I don't use it that much, because I use double bass, but it feels right.
I'm not so thrilled about the high-hat. It feels a bit flimsy, and you can't adjust the spring tension. As with the bass pedal I don't use it that often, because I've got a good pearl stand.
The shell hardware realy impressed me. The lugs look very stylish, and stat in tume perfectly. On the snaredrum they are mounted on a rubber/plastic plate, on the toms and bass they are mounted
directely. The T.A.R mounts work great. The toms are securely mounted and because of the low contact mount, can realy sing. The snare strainer works well enough, it's reasonably easy to set, and stays in the set position for quite some time.
The only let-down, looking at the shell hardware, are the bass drum clamps. They are directly mounted on the shell, without a rubber protection as with the more expensive sonor drumsets.
The heads are, plainly said, crap. Standard the set comes with remo UX heads, with are way to thin to get the best sound out of the drums. After 2 weeks I mounted a set of evans heads (EQ2, Genera HD, EMAD), which realy made the toms sing.
All in all I think this is a great deal for only ???699,-

First of all I must say that with the stock heads these drums have a very narrow tuning range, and just sound like crap.
Once I mounted my evans heads the drum sound absolutely transforms!
The snare drum has a realy nice sound to it. it tunes from medium high up to almost piccolo like high pitches. Tuned up relatively high the snare realy sings. It has a nice range of over-tones. Without any form of dampening this snare sounds extremely musical, a bit to much for my taste actualy, but a set of remO's fixes that up great.
My toms are also tuned up pretty high. The 10" tom has a nice punch to it, with quite a strong resonance afterworths. The 12" tom has even more resonance, and cuts trough the mix beautifully. It does need a little bit of dampening to get it in sinc with the 10", but thats just a small effort.
I tend to tune my floortom as low as it will go, and this one goes realy low! The sound is extremely powerfull, and as with the 12" tom, needs some dampening to get it in sinc.
The bassdrum is my absolute favorite part of this kit. In short, this kick is a cannon! Like my floor, I tune my kick as low as it will go, with a 5" hole in the front skin and a flam-slam on the batter side. with only small pillow centered in the drum (not touching the heads), you get a very boomy sound, wich will might work for jazz, but my favorite set-up with this drum is a bed-sheet touching both the batter and the resonant head. This gives the kick an extremely pleasant (and loud) punch, with just a hint of reasonance.
All in all I absolutely love the sound of this kit. It has that typical "birch sound", which means it's a bit punchier than maple. The sound is realy well balanced and versatile!

I got this kit about 5 month's ago, and use it in my rehearsal space. I've gigged with it 2 times now, and on one of the gigs all 5 drummers that played on the festival that day played on my kit. So far nothing broke. The hardware keeps up very good, and stays beautiful. The finish still looks as fresh as the day I got them.
Once the drums are tuned right, they stay in tune realy good. When used in my band's rehearsal space I never have to tune them, only when they come back from a gig.

This kit for me is an absolute dream. It's my first decent kit, and every time I play it, I get a big smile on my face. This kit has an extremely good value, with good hardware and great shells.
The only let-down's were the heads and the high-hat pedal, but compared to the other kits in this price category, they are equal to it's rivals.
