Its basicly a mod for the EQ section for the MP-1. So your still using an MP-1, which is easy to use.

I've owned and used both stock MP-1 and EQ modded MP-1 and always went to the EQ modded MP-1. To me, it sounded more open yet tight sounding. The Bass section has a trimpot that you can choose your own frequency, just like you do with a parametric eq, and then use the bass setting for its amount. Which really comes in handy to adjust the bass to your cabinet to prevent muddy sound.
The Mids & highs sound alot better. the highs are more sweeter and not ear percing and the sound cut through better.

If you can, get an MP-1 and have it modded for the EQ mod and compare it to the stock MP-1. You'll be surprised of how good the EQ modded will sound.
