irreplaceable. LOVE it. get one if you ever have the opportunity. not many devices have this kind of one-off character. i use it for tracking synths, guitar (duh!0, and it's interesting with drums actually. still have more experimentation to do with it, notably the CV aspect...

The STD-1 is very easy to use- but if you come across a great patch you'd be wise to write it down. Only a couple of knobs and switches, but a wide range of sounds.

For an anlog tap delay unit it sounds great- even by todays standards. It is great for using on drums- easy to get Kraftwerkish type of sound if that's what you want. Handy for pads and can do some amazing stuff to basses. No noise.

AD/A still has the manual. Talked to them a couple of times- seem like very nice people.

A wonderful piece. Will never sell. Very hard to find used because people don't sell them. Has jacks for CV control, so with a MIDI/CV gate it can live very well in a MIDI based studio. The second LFO adds a LOT of life to sounds. Rating only goes to 10- this is one of the few pieces that I've used that is off the scale.
