It works just like the 1000 other graphic eq's on the market now. The manual is very short and simple. no pictures but none needed.
You can plug almost anything into it: xlr, rca, 1/4" balanced, 1/4" unbalanced.

Sound Quality : 8
Sound quality is as good as should be expected from a new eq I paid $89 for.
If you plug an instrument directly into it, as the manual suggests, unless it is a line level source you can get a considerable amount of noise. Lower level sources such as active guitar pickups will work but you will need to crank up the level all the way.
Cranking up the level adds absolutely no noise, distortion or color to the sound so crank it up until the clip lights start to flash. (clip lights light up at -5db so frequent flasshes are fine)
The 630hz band on channel 1 added noticably more hum than the other bands.
I also noticed much less noise by selecting the +/-6dB range for the eq. I would suggest only using the +/-12 setting if you absulutely have to.
Stick with line level sources on this eq. If you want it on you guitar or other instrument use the channel insert on you mixer.
I give it an 8 in this category only because it doesn't work as great with instruments plugged in direct as the manual suggests.

Reliability : No Opinion
no problems so far. I have no reason to suspect it to blow up on a gig. I would like to open the case and see how it's built before I make a judgement on reliability.

I use this eq to tweak the sound on my acoustic guitar Martin D-15 w/iBeam active pickup. It basically does what it's supposed to do. Perhaps I could have paid several hundred dollars for a more expensive name but I see no reason to pay that much more for an improvement in sound so small that most peope will never notice.

Very easy. Just push the sliders up or down, and listen!
Manual is two pages long-that's all that's needed.
This is a dual channel, fifteen band equalizer, stereo ins and outs.

Sound Quality : 10
I am using this to mix a Tascam 8-track cassette to two track. (Am exploring mixing down to CD-RW). There is no extra noise added.
The difference is amazing! There are bypass buttons for each of the two channels. I listen to each track, and adjust the appropriate band to show the track at its best (or what I think is its best). I can bring out certains sounds, or clean up muddiness. After doing this for all eight tracks, I bypassed the EQ. The difference was huge. The EQ allowed the mix to be so much better, I couldn'r believe it. This is the first time I've had a decent EQ, and I can't believe how great it sounds. I am also using a stereo compressor (Presonus), and the combo results in a big and positive difference in the sound.

Just using it for two weeks now. Well built, seems reliable, but don't really know.

Never contacted them

A great addition, at a very reasonable price.
I play and record classic rock and blues.
I would replace it if lost or stolen- couldn't mix without it now.
Didn't really compaison shop. ZZsounds had a sale, and I jumped.
