This is great...Not exactly as precise as my ALESIS MEQ-230
but this has something that-that doesn't have...

It sounds fine but the PRECISION-TUNING is not as good as
the MEQ-230, But the 351 has great Hi-Pass/Low-Pass filters
but the thing could sur use a NOTCH-FILTER because the sliders
and filters can't do everything you need...Sometimes I use alot
of EQs in series: This One, Alesis MEQ-230, and NEPTUNE 2710
to get close to using them to cut frequencies just like a
NOTCH-FILTER, imagine -48 dB just to descently CUT any Frequency
...Pretty Lame Huh???...

It could use another channel for STEREO but that would be the
355 unit ART sells...I know they just space everything out all
big to take up the right amount of space and size...Because if
ALESIS could fit 2 precise 1/3rd Octave Graphic Equalizers in
one rack-space, so can ART...But ALESIS just needs the FILTERS...

Very simple to use, and easy to accomplish a great sound out of it. 31 bands of EQing lets you taylor the sound anyway you want. Rackmount, selectable boost/cut range of 6db or 12db, active balanced and unbalanced input and ouputs, level control, clip indicator, internal power supply and adjustable high pass filter. This is one great Equalizer

I use this in for my guitar setup with a Lexicon MPX-100 for reverbs and delays, Furman voltage regulator, Rocktron Hush noise gate, Korg rack tuner and a BBE 482 sonic maximizer. My main giging amp is a Peavey 5150 stack. This eq is a must for my rig! Its very quiet on all settings and just enhances the great tone that I have already achieved.

I'm sure you can depend on it, but I haven't had it that long.

I play every style of music with the ART 351, Jazz to metal and everything in between. My 5150 is definitely for rock music but I also own some Marshalls, Fenders, and some Peavey Classic amps, and this eq goes right along with them.
I tried out this new EQ from ART at a local dealer and was well taken by it. But it really shined in conjuction with my other rack gear and amps. Would definitely buy it again if it were stolen. I plan on buying the ART 341 dual channel 15 band EQ for my small recording studio, but those Ashley EQ's look pretty nice. We'll see.
