ART 441 Dual 15-Band EQ

Fairly easy to use for anyone familiar with how eq's work. 441 is similar to a 341 but has a hi pass (lo cut) and low pass (hi cut) circuit plus an easier to read front panel, plus a lower signal-to-noise ration. 1/4 and xlr ins/outs. The 6db/12db boost/cut button doesn't have an affect on how much noise is audible, just pure signal.

Used live and to record guitar and bass. Setup consists of Ibanez POS or custom Fender J-Bass -> Morley Wah -> Ibanez TS-9 -> Visual Sound H2O -> Tech 21 TRI-AC -> ART 441 -> Powered Monitors and mixing desk. I can COMPLETELY change or enhance the sounds of my instruments with this. It doesn't introduce any extra noise into the signal path. This EQ will tighten things up and allow you to boost or cut any frequency creating punch and clarity. I use a POS Ibanez that's a decade old with !BAD! pickups but the 441 makes it tollerable to use for recording (still it won't stop me from replacing the guitar completely when cash allows me to do so). I also have a custom Fender Jazz bass that sounds AMAZING through this EQ. The natural tone of the J-bass is great by itself but by slightly cutting some mids and boosting the bass it's just beautiful!

Looks and feels durable but we'll see.

I play a variety of rock, metal, country, and blues and I need a versatile setup that can give me clarity, punch, volume, reliability, and portablity. This setup allows me to get any number of great tones mainly due to the ART 441 and the Tech 21 TRI-AC pedal. Without the 441 the TRI-AC is thin and lifeless and without the TRI-AC I'm stuck searching for lots of expensive, bulky rigs that I just don't have the space or money for.

Anyways, this EQ is one of the best QUALITY products at a very decent price. I've tried a few others and this performs exactly like more expensive models and seriuosly out-performs any others of equal or lesser value. The ART 441 is an essential part of my set-up and I wouldn't have good tone without it.
