The ART dPDB is a dual passive direct box. There's not much to tell about it. Each side has a quarter-inch input with a through-jack, a 3-way pad switch (0 dB, -20 dB, -40 dB), and an XLR output with a ground-lift switch.

I've used the dPDB to connect a stereo pedalboard or multi-FX unit directly to a PA snake. It works well for this application. The pad switches are handy, as FX output levels are hotter than mic signals.
I've never had any occasion to complain about the sound. As far as I can tell, the unit doesn't add any coloration.

I've used this for about two years. No problems.

The dPDB seems built to last.
I compared this to a Behringer dual DI which was a bit less expensive, but made of plastic.

No brainer passive di box (most if not all passive di's are no brainers)

Not noisy at all (di boxes should not be). Ground lift works great. Seems fairly transparent to me but I am no engineer or producer - I use this play live into a mixer (both acoustic and electric guitars and occasionaly a violin). I won't give a (10) because everything affects sound in a signal chain includind cables and hardware.

I have two. Built like tanks. One is going strong with twice a week use for over 1.5 years. The other, one transformer (left side) went out. Sent it in to ART. Fixed it for free and got it back one week later.

Is is a simple, nice dual channel passive di. I use it two worship bands that I am in to route guitar signals to the mixer. For the electric, it goes at the end of chain of pedals and a Digitech RP100. Stereo out so it is a perfect tool. For the acoutsit, I sometimes use a ZOOM acoustic processor or go straight out of guitar's preamp in to this di. Works fine. Built like a tank out of heavy gauge steel. Reaaly tought. Takesa beating.
