It's an EQ, and for me, EQ's are cake to work. The manual explains everything anyways, like that the sliders are 2/3rd octave sliders and that there is a variable Cut/Boost of 6 or 12.

Hamer Vector Flametop -> Rocktron Metal Planet -> Ibanez WD-7 Weeping Demon Wah -> Rocktron Rampage -> ART EQ451 Single Channel 31-Band 1/3rd Octave EQ -> ART EQ442 Dual Channel 15-Band 2/3rd Octave EQ -> Peavey Rockmaster 120w tube head -> Laney 2x12" oversized cab -> 35 watt celestions. The ART is only noisy when you set the level high, or have the sliders set up to where the frequency is a noise frequency and you boost it. Other than that it's pretty noiseless. 0.01% distortion. The effects always sound great. I can get the sounds of my favorite artists, its an eq, and I use two distortions... Im bound to get spot on to SOMEONES tone.

I can depend on this gear, and I would use on a gig without a backup, but technically, I wouldnt..... I have two.

I play metal, it's a good match, I've been playing 3 1/2 years, I would buy it again if it was available, and I love how much it changes my tone into anything I want.
