Pretty self explainatory. If you are unfamiliar with the concepts of high and low pass filters, you may need to read a bit on this prior to setting the knobs for these features.
The big claim to fame for this eq in the features catagory is the LED at the top of each channel. The intensity of the led represents the relative amount of signal your system is putting out at a given frequency. This lets you chip away at feedback easily, or enhance a certian portion of the sound. very nice.

I am writing this because of the sound quality. My PA is all high quality gear. The mix board is an Allan & Heath 16 ch mix wizzard, the microphones are EV ND376 Neodium magnet vocal mic's, the amplifier is a QSC PLX 3002 and the speakers are Klipsch 304's.
With the unit off bypassed, the systems sounds very clean and very good. You would not expect there to be much improvment; however, when switched on, everything becomes tighter, more clear, more seperated and pronounced, and just plain warmer. I don't know how they do it, but it simply makes the system sound better. Kudo's to ART on this one.

It sits in a rack. If someone hits it with a hammer, it will likely break like all the other rack mount stuff.

It is a great eq with tone to offer any PA. The LED intensity feature is useful, but the real claim to fame with this unit would have to be the tone it provides. It is truely a professional class product.

A basic 2/3 octave EQ with large sliders. Switchable low pass and high pass filters at the push of a button (20KHz and 20 Hz, respectively). Can turn either channels on independently, and can route a mono signal through both channels. This is nice if you're adding that "telephone" sound live. Punch in, punch out.

Undetectable self-noise. Clean, distinguishable editing. It's not as flexible as a 1/3 octave, but it gets the job done with ease.

The slider buttons slip off easily and could get lost. I haven't had that happen, but I suppose if this unit were to be transported frequently, it could be an issue.

I only wish that this unit were smaller. It's older (199_), so it takes up two rack spaces, despite that it is a 2/3 octave unit. The power supply clumsily sticks out the back, making this unit awkwardly weighted and abnormal when compared to other effects. I'm not sure if it would fit in a shallow rack case, in other words. But it is clean and easy to use. The sliders have some firmness, as not to get edited accidently.
