The Flanger has 4 knobs, which are fairly self explanetary; you only buy this pedal for one effect right ;)
Set up your sound and whack on the switch - no worries!

I am currently playing an Epiphone Les Paul Special II through a Zoom G2 effects processor (clean only!) to a Marshall Guv'nor Plus GV-2. Then the Flanger, and finally a Jim Dunlop Cry Baby. Running on a PSU I found this little box to have a mild hum on bypass and a louder one when switched on. Using a 9V battery is a better option (but bring a spare battery to gigs!). The effect is very powerful, and quite versatile. If you don't know what a Flanger does, then read up on it first. It effectively matches the kind of Digitech gear used by the likes of Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine).
The fall-down of this pedal is that it doesnt have true, passive bypass. When you rig this up, it will suck your tone and volume until you switch it on. It's not really that bad, don't let it put you off buying as it's exceptionally good value for money!

Reasonably dependable.. bring a spare battery to gigs. Unless you are some kind of new age progressive weirdo I wouldn't expect you to be leaving this on for a whole set so expect it to last. Mine has lasted me about a year thus far without trouble, a tough little box!

I play punk rock, some indie, a little blues. I've been playing about 4 years and own 4 guitars and a selection of effects processors/stomp boxes/amps. If this pedal were stolen, I'd look elsewhere. I'm looking for a flanger with passive bypass anyway and will probably sell this pedal soon. I love the colour! It's a nice lilac shade. I chose this product on price, but bare in mind it will quite nicely stand up to top end flangers.
