Pretty easy to use - turn up that "Reverb" knob on your Fender amp until it sounds good.

Hey, it's just a spring reverb, but it can really be effective. Sounds great in my '72 Deluxe. Just don't bump the amp. I modified my tank bu putting a tiny bit of cotton in the middle of each spring to hasten the decay (see http://www.doolinguitars.com/client/images/springs.jpg). As-is, the tail of the reverb would hang on for ever. You have to play around with the amount of cotton a bit to get the right amount of dampening. I stuffed the cotton into the center of the springs, at the juncture in the middle of the spring pairs.

This is why I'm writing. "Disgruntled" above had a bad experience, but like "Jim", I found the people at Sound Enhancements to be wonderful. Someone had put the wrong tank in my Fender Super (not an Accutronics tank), and the tank in the Deluxe sounded so much better that I ordered a replacement. I ordered a 4AB2C1B instead of a 4AB3C1B, to get a shorter decay, but it didn't stop the long reverb tail problem, so I added the cotton (see above). But they built this custom order tank and had it on my doorstep in 4 days! And at $22, it was a no-brainer.

Anyway, it's a classic sound and couldn't be simpler to operate, and the manufacturer gave me great service.
