Great sound is easy with this pedal and an amp that likes fuzz.

Has volume in/out & fuzz knobs. Also has an internal trim pot that can take it from octavish to cleanish fuzz.
I have a 68 fuzz face that has THE tone. I can get closer with the Addrock than any other fuzz.
It sounds best to me with a strat or a les paul. Fuzz first in line then my marshall or fender.

Crank all the knobs and control the amount of dirt with the guitar knobs. A bit more tweakable than your average Fuzz Face, but nothing difficult to figure out after a few minutes of twisting knobs.

Using a '81 Tokai SG and a '02 LS200, both with High Order Pickups, and a '84 JV Squier Strat with CS '69 Pickups. '89 Bluesbreaker RI with Weber C1230's. Lots of gain on tap, but never gets harsh or farty. Tight low end and just enough fatness. Not too tubby like other boutique Fuzz Face clones I've owned. Does a fantastic early Hendrix. Cleans up well, as is to be expected from a good Fuzz Face and works great as a overdrive or boost. I've owned more than a few boutique FF clones and this is my favorite by far. Thought I was a dedicated MKII loyalist and just not a FF person until I bought this.

I play Rock/Psych/Stoner, etc... I've gone through tons of boutique fuzz pedals over the years and have 4 definite keepers including the Addrock.
I will be buried with this pedal or another one if it gets lost or stolen.

Great Fuzz! Cleans up like a fuzz should and very quiet. Hi cut switch and input pot are nice extras that really diversify this pedal.
Nails EC, EJ and Hendrix as good as gets without a "Good" Fuzz Face.
335, Suhr Stat, or LP into a Marshall, Rivera , or Fender, you can't make it sound bad if you wanted to.
Bought it from the boys at Atlanta Music Brokers.

Mine is a early one # 0003(I am very late for this review), looks like it took a shotgun blast from the dings and chips, but rock solid.
I use this pedal EVERY time I play, I can't say that about my stockpile of shit that LOOKS good in my collection.
I own a Electric Smile, and a Old Yeller, not one problem with all three!
Clean build, almost bullet proof!

Never met Mr. H.L., was to meet him and M.D. at Hooters in Atlanta (Roswell) but couldn't make it.
Heard and read nothing but good about him and his pedals.

Great warm fuzz at any level without having to drive the amp. Although , it does sound better when the amp is cranked up. Dead quiet. All my effects sound great with it. Does the early Hendrix thing magnificently. Sounds amazing through my Dr Z Route '66. Seems to love all my guitars, though the Tele is rediculously hot with it.

Perfect for roots and rock music of any ilk. If you like vintage germanium tone, you won't be dissapointed! I'd buy another. I sold my '69 to get it.

a great sounding fuzz face. you can sound like the early hendrix albums and it works great with my rmc picture wah. it has an input control that let's you really dial in how much you want the wah to affect the tone. if you don't use a wah, then max the input control for maximum gain. if you do this you will have a little more gain than an old fuzz face, but be in the same ballpark. the high cut switch seems pretty useless to me though. this fuzz cleans up great and as you roll your volume knob down, you can get a great rhythm sound.

i think it's the most expensive fuzz face clone out there, but it's worth it. the input knob allows you to use it with a wah and it cleans up great. huge sound at full volume through a hiwatt! customer service is fabulous. i take away one point for the price compared to others, but you do get what you pay for!

strat, custom strat, gibson hawk run thru my pedal board and into a budda twinmaster head. not noisy at all. sounds great. can get that hendrix thing, eric johnson thing. touch sensitive, meaning it cleans up when you soften the attack ect. very transparent.

only had it for less than a week but have used it on two gigs already. played without my usual set-up due to some time constraints ect and used only this pedal thru my amp cause i wanted to see how it would do. perfect. cant say too much about reliability as i havent had it that long but seems to be well built.

bought it from the man himself at alpha music in virgina beach. h.l. is a good guy and always helpful. haven't had the fuzz long enough to have needed customer support but based on my experience with the store and h.l. i'm sure if i ever need it, it will be very good.

i play a little bit of everything from rock to blues to jazz-tinged gospel. i wanted a fuzz for a while now and was looking and found this, and after playing lots of other fuzzes, this is the one that i liked best of all. it fits my needs and sounds great. i've been playing for 20 years now. i would buy another if i needed to. the hi cut switch is nice and the fact that it has imput and output knobs is nice to tailor the effect. i tried several reissue fuzz faces, fulltone ultimate octave, fulltone 70's fuzz, prescription electronics yardbox, prescription electronice experience pedal and other pedals along the way. this one wins hands down. an inspirational pedal

Not a noisy fuzz at all. It took me quite a while to find a fuzz i liked (and alot of $), and this one seems to do it. It does all the fuzz tones we love....Jimi/EC/EJ..etc. Im using it with an old fender, marshall and vox --->strats and LPs

This pedal has three knobs plus a hi-cut mini-toggle. Output, amount of fuzz, and an input control (this helps when using with wahs). Just tweak and go.

A FAT fuzz that can squawk like early Clapton and do Eric Johnson dead on. The high cut switch is a great idea especially with bright amps. Not a bad sound in this box. I use this Relic Strats, 59 LP reissue, and a John Suhr strat into the pedals that fit my mood that day into a Top Hat, old fender or marshall...
