Akai Head Rush E1

I was looking for a good floor unit delay- tape echo effect.Well I found it in the Akai headrush E-1.It is pretty easy to use,It may take
some time after you read the manual, a little experimenting with it for awhile.You can get decent delay out of this unit.I like the tape echo myself,i played through a real (tape echo unit )before and the akai does a good simulation. I guess theres a new model out there the E-2 but I have not tried one out yet. AlsoI have used This thing with a drum machine,you can get some trippi beats! slapp echo stuff.The sampler is cool great for grabbing riffs and for practicing.

I use a schecter c1, a gretsch acoustic electric,Ibanez's and have played fenders through it also.There really isnt any noticable noise.
pretty quiet device, no hiss or loss of signal.I've ran it through many different amps, Marshall's ,Fender's,and currently run it through a Fender passport P A system.I use many effect pedals or my "tools as I like to call them. Mainley I run a Morley bad horsey,A real tube pedal by tube works,and a Crate 3 band parametric eq; and a Korg pandora's box..Trying emulate my favorite guitarist Eric Johnson.

I have had this unit for about four and half years now with no problems.I am still finding new ways to use this.

I havent had to contact anyone at the Akai company...

This pedal is great for any kind of music. I play all types of music live and studio musician I have been playing for about
39 years now and have made a little money and still havin a lotta fun.....
I have a small 4 space rack unit.It contains a furman's power conditioner, allesi's reverb unit, and a 482 bbe sonic maximizer.If
something was to happend the akai pedal I would buy another one the next day.
I love the tape echo/delay simulation with the four outputs.This is part of my sound now, would'nt be the same playing with out it.
