Ease of Use

This little unit could'nt be easier. This is the epitome of plug and play. You dial to the effect you want (this one has the expected effects plus a couple more) adjust the input level and mix level and there you are. There are no editing features for this unit. It is ideal for a number of different applications. It is so small that I carry it around in my gig bag.
A manual is a waste of good ink but the one that is included is more than adequate. Here's the lowdown right from Alesis.

Sound Quality

As with all "affordable" units it can be hissy if you have everything turned up all the way. It is very rich and very quiet if you use the levels the way they are intended. Most of the effects always sound great. I give this an 8 because the flange and lezlie are weak but I didn't get the unit for those effects. I am very happy with the reverbs and delays. I run it through the effects loop of my Behringer mixer. I have a Behringer DSP1024 which is nice but I like the Alesis sound better. The nanoverb is similar but is 18 bit with a lower sample rate. I believe the picoverb has better richer sound quality.

So far so good. If I didn't already have a backup (a behringer 1024)I would go ahead and gig it without a backup.

I haven't had to deal with their customer support.
