Ampeg SVTMP

Very easy to use. Simple gain control knob, Combo XLR MIC and 1/4'' LINE imput, 1/4'' instument level imput, gain reduction pads on each, 1/4'' instrument thru output to go directly into your amp input, transformer balanced XLR MIC output to run into the board (with pad). Simple manual.

Pure tube cream. I run a Stingray 4HH - Boss BF3 flanger - MXR autowah - Tech 21 sans amp RBI - SVTMP - board. Super, juicy tone. Warm and thick. VERY quiet (but that may be partly due to the Stingray's humbuckers, have not tried it with single coils). TONS or gain - you will never, ever, need more gain than this unit can pump. I depress the MIC output pad, leave 1/4'' input pad alone and turn the gain to about 9 o'clock, and it gives me plenty of gain.

Built like the proverbial tank. Rock solid. The 2 tubes (12AX7/12AU7) which are Groove Tubes, may need to be change eventually, but otherwise top notch construction.

Invaluable for recording and/or warming up your sound. Best DI I have ever used.
