Ease of Use : 10
Simple to use. Four knobs control the level of the delay signal, the number of repeats and the length of the delay. The Boss manual describes operation in detail.

The high cut mod is a 3 way switch - the middle position is stock, one way is a slight cut and the other way is a deeper cut.

Sound Quality : 10
This pedal is extremely quiet and very transparent with no change to the original guitar tone. The stock delay is very warm sounding in the first place but does have that perfect digital echo...which is great...but the high cut mod does introduce some subtlety and variety into the delay sound.

In my opinion, the high cut mod improves the naturalness of the effect. Instead of the echo decaying simply by reducing the volume of subsequent repeats, the high cut mod effects the actual frequency of the echo decay as well by damping out the higher frequencies of the echo.

Whilst I didn???t buy this pedal to do U2 covers, when I hook up my G&L Legacy straight into my Laney tube amp with treble boost on with just the delay pedal active in the signal chain I can???t help riffing out some classic Edge delay standards such as Pride, Streets & Bad. That Strat snap delay drenched sound is a seductive combination.

Reliability : No Opinion
Too early to tell. I've only had it for a week but it seems sturdy enough.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not needed to date but pedal was ordered online and shipped promptly to UK from US in 5 working days.

Overall Rating : 10
My only previous experience using delay effects was with an analogue delay patch on a Zoom 707IIA modelling processor so I am no expert but the difference in sound quality is chalk and cheese.

This is an easy to use great sounding effects pedal. I???m sure that there are more complex, expensive pedals with more features available but this little beauty does exactly what it says on the tin and does it very well.
