Ease of Use : 9
very easy to use! you can adjust the feedback knob of the dd-5 by connecting an expression pedal to the new exp. jack that mike installs.YOU MUST USE A STEREO CORD!initially i connected a line 6 expression pedal to the boss with a mono jack.this did not controll the feedback so i assumed there may be a problem with the mod.i sent it back to analogman only to find out that the problem was due to the fact that i used a mono patch cord. DOH!if your going to use a expression pedal without a built in stereo cord you can order a one foot stereo angled end cord from -

this is a really cool mod for reggae, dub, ambient delay effects cause with the sweep of the expression pedal you can go from one delay repeat[heel down]to indefinate repeats[toe down].this ''feels'' alot diferent than the runaway delay of a good old analog delay pedal so dont expect that multiplying delay kaos that can only be achieved with an old analog delay.it does, however make the dd-5 alot more flexable for live performance and its basically like having several delays on your pedalboard.i highly recommend getting this mod with mike's high-cut switch mod.

Sound Quality : 10
the expression mod doesnt alter the tone of the original dd-5 in any way.the tap tempo still functions as always.i must say that going from rockabilly slap-back to dub delay infinate repeats with one sweep of the expression pedal is a really cool live tool!there are no gitches in the deay when you rock the exp pedal, just smooth changes in feedback.the dd-5 was already by far my favorite live delay pedal, after the exp. and high cut mods it's of the chain!!

Reliability : 10
thepedal that i had modded was a dd-5 that i bought new when they first came out[ '95 ?]and it has been in my board without fail
ever since!

Customer Support : 10
