Depth. Knob. Optional (and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) deep switch. Super-easy and the knobs sound good at almost any position.

I'd give it a 10 except that I got mine with the internal wet/dry mix trimpot control and to be honest, when you're playing your instrument you don't want to rip the pedal off your board, unscrew the back and mess with a trim pot to alter the effect. (At least, I don't.) By contrast, the Maxon CS-9 Stereo Chorus has a mix knob included, which is very convenient.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm writing this review as a bassist. I play both bass and guitar. The Analog Man chorus sound works delightfully on both, but on bass it excels. There aren't a lot of bass chorus pedals on the market. There's Boss's, there's EBS's. I've tried both. Neither hold a candle to this thing. With the deep switch on, it adds that warm chorus shimmer to your bass sound without muddying up the tone. With rate and depth turned up, you get terrific bizarro space bass. I've tried it with 9V and 12V power supplies and it's solid on both but definitely better on 12V, so spring for the adapter if you buy this pedal.

Also, especially on the 12V, it can handle huge gain inputs. By comparison, the EBS Unichorus (no slouch, this is a $200 analog pedal we're talking about) sounds murkier and with any kind of active bass or high gain input immediately begins to distort. That doesn't happen with the Analog Man. I've never heard a more musical chorus on bass.

I got this pedal for guitar, originally, but once I saw what it could do on bass it went on my bass board and it's staying there.

Reliability : 10
Built very well. One of the coolest-looking pedals around too.

Customer Support : 10
Analog Mike is pretty awesome. Not that you will probably need tech support, as the thing works great and doesn't break.

Overall Rating : 9
I play in a 3-piece band where effects are very useful to keep the sound interesting. I play a Warwick Double Buck Corvette and the Analog Man shimmers naturally over the heavy low end of those monster pickups and active electronics as no other chorus pedal has.

As I said, I originally got the pedal for guitar. It works wonderfully on guitar as well, providing a warm, subtle chorus that turns into a nice vibratto at high rate settings. For my own personal tastes, however, I lean towards the more syrupy Andy Summers-ish chorus sounds of vintage Boss or Maxon, so I wound up getting a Maxon CS-9 Stereo Chorus for my guitar board instead... though only after A/Bing the two pedals for months. Whether you'll agree with me depends on your tastes. They're both top-notch: play them against each other in a store and decide for yourself.

But bassists... GET THIS. And don't let your guitarist steal it from you.

I got the regular version w/2 knobs for speed and depth. Any setting you do is usable...obviously some settings more useful than others. But again, all settings sound good or great. Hard to get a bad sound. Manual is one sheet, pretty easy.

Sound Quality : 10
using with peavey xxx/peavey 5150 (both combos), I put it in the fx loop. Adds that meat to my clean and absolutely noiseless. Any chorus sound can be dialed in from subtle to thick...its almost impossible to make this pedal sound bad as every setting has potential usefulness. It sounds very warm and full. Honestly dont have one bad thing to say about it, but many good things, so full 10

Reliability : 10
seems built like a tank, metal casing is heavy and solid and so is the footswitch(true bypass). battery access requires a screwdriver, but i use an adaptor. would definitely gig w/out a backup

Customer Support : No Opinion
N/A as ive never had to deal with him, but I hear analog mike is the man at customer support.

Overall Rating : 10
THough I play mostly metal, this pedal inspires me to play more on my clean channel. Songs i use it on inclued message in a bottle, come as you are, this love, floods, basically clean arpeggiated passages. Chords sound awesome on this thing too. Though this is my first and prolly only boutique pedal (quite expensive, even used) i would replace this as I cant imagine another chorus pedal sounding this good and this versatile.

Piece of cake. 2 knobs, Depth switch, internal trim pot, and stereo outputs. Running it at 12v from my Pedal Power 2 and it's handling the extra headroom nicely.

Sound Quality : 10
If you like the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone chorus sound then this is the pedal to buy!!! Keep in mind this is different from the Boss CE-1 sound, so you need to get a handle on which you prefer first (or buy both like I did). Lush, rich, and with the deep option engaged it adds just the right amount of body and analog warmth to my all analog boutique setup. Absolutely noiseless, no hiss or clipping, true-bypass, and the red LED is really easy to see on stage also.

My all analog, 100% true bypass setup:

Vintage Gibson Les Paul or SG > Keeley modded Vox 847 wah > Keeley looper (as tuner mute) > PedalDoctor FX 4 Speed Overdrive > FL-9 > Analogman Chorus w/options > Retro-Sonic Analog Delay > Keeley modded AD-9 w/expression pedals > Bogner Ecstasy 101B > Swanson custom built 2x12 speaker cabs loaded with Celestion G12-H30 (awesome cabs!!).

I have a smaller board with a boutique CE-1 analog chorus clone on it (Retro-Sonic Chorus Ensemble), so I can compare the two side by side. I've also compared with my early 80's Ibanez UE-305 multieffects (original owner), and numerous digital delays of varying price ranges and eras.

For a stompbox E-H clone, this is simply awesome. Giving it a 10 which is saying a lot.

Reliability : 9
I looked under the hood and Mike's work is absolutely impecable. Built like a tank, incredible parts and assembly. I'll gig without a backup worry-free and expect my kids to be inheriting this someday (after they pry it from my cold, dead hands).

Customer Support : 10
Awesome. Not only did Mike personally respond to my technical questions before the purchase, he also had no problems providing other boutique manufacturers for vintage gear repair. Simply a pleasure to work with.

Overall Rating : 10
I have over 30+ years playing of most styles (rock, jazz, country, classical, etc.). This pedal is a keeper, and the only thing I can knock it for is the size. HOWEVER, Analogman offers a smaller version, and I might just have to pick one up for my small board.

I'm giving it an overall 10 and yes, if stolen, I would absolutely have to buy another one. Regardless of which chorus sound you prefer, Small Stone or CE-1, you should have one of these in your collection because you never know when you'll need this incredible E-H Small Stone sound.

Piece of cake to get a good sound. Just plug in! Whatever you do get the depth toggle option for $25. That little switch increases your range exponentially. The manual is basic and informative for a page. The website is comprehensive and Mike or Alex will answer all your questions. I gave it a 9 only because it doe stake soem work to adjust to get the sound you are seeking, but noting you get sounds bad.

Sound Quality : 10
True bypass=no noise. I am experimenting with all aspects that this baby can give me. I play and listen to everything from classic rock to country, southern rock, bigband/jazz, some psychedelic, punk...

I play a D'Agostino Benchmark, Humbuckers with coil splitters, through a Marshall AVT 100 combo. I also use a Gibson LesPaul DC with p-90s when I can pry it away from my daughter,. I haven't tried the chorus through her Fender Deluxe 112 yet.

Reliability : 10
It an Analogman product. I have 110% confidence.

Customer Support : 10
It doesnt get any better than analog man's support. I love their motto: "We will bend over backwards for our customers, just not forward." They respond to all emails and answer all questions.

Overall Rating : 9
If it were lost I would replace it. If it were stolen I would want it back plus a pound of flesh. Although it is in the high range price wise, you get what you pay for. This is a top quality product, made in the USA by an entrepeneurial technician.

Very easy. Compared to the Fulltone CF it is a LOT userfriendly. It is a unit from 2002.

Sound Quality : 10
Owned before the Fulltone CF and the TC Electronics famous chorus. This is by far the better. Very present sounds, wonderfull leslie. It has a wide range of usable sounds with only two knobs. Hats off for Wonder Mike. Have King of Tone and the Sun fuzz. Both of the best quality I have encountered.
Use it with plexi Marshalls and Gibson. Own a lot of boutique effects.

Reliability : 10
Have been abusing Mike's stuff for years in giggs and no one broke. Can't say that from the other (boutique) stuff I have.

Customer Support : 10
Have had the pleasure of meeting Mike and staff. Lovely and dedicated peaple. Very customer friendly.

Play classic Rock. I am impressed and feel that my search for the ultimate chorus has ended.

Two knobs, two plugs, one switch.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the one you want, words don't do it justice! Really, just go and buy it now. It's the perfect chorus sound! Based on the EHX Small Clone, but not made to fall apart at random. It handles my hot bridge humbucker (Duncan TB-5 Custom) excellently, even at full bore. It's what I always thought a chorus should sound like! Anything else is a pale imitation of this. Lush, swirly, MONO (and let's face it, I have NO interest in buying a second amp), I just can't go on enough about it. I didn't order the deep option, and I don't regret it because the basic mono model is perfect as is. Caveat: I like my chorus to sound like it's doing something, so keep that in mind!

Used with tube amp class A/B Marshall-like (Crate VFX5112) and Ibanez SZ520 with USA Duncans (TB-5, SH-1n). Comparisons:
1. Analogman Chorus (this one): perfect 10.
2. Maxon CS-9Pro: okay, but thin, sterile, and midrangy in comparison. Too transparent, and always sounded like a doubler more than anything. 8.5 out of 10.
3. Boss CE-5: passable under duress, colder than the Maxon. 7.3 out of 10, but a good value for the money.
4. VFX5112 built-in: thick, and would be okay except for all the hiss. 6 out of 10, I hate hiss.

Reliability : 10
Lifetime warranty. My amp has built-in chorus, so I can't gig without a backup...but I don't anyway, I'm a studio guy.

Customer Support : 10
Fast shipping, good communication. Lifetime warranty.

I just love this thing! And the workmanship on the case is great! It's hammered metal with two layers of blue, and '70s retro sun graphics and a neat font, really makes it feel like a quality investment. I've finally found my chorus pedal, and it helps me make music. I was inspired to play huge arpeggios with this, and Police covers. I keep the speed at 11:00 and the depth around 3:00. Yes, I would buy it again if I had to. It is the mother of all choruses and then some.

I own the mini-chorus version of this pedal. Two knobs, couldn't possibly be any easier

Sound Quality : 10
my setup is as follows: keeley compressor->fulltone supatrem->fulltone OCD->fulltone fatboost->menatone mail bomb->fulltone '69->analogman minichorus->startouch A/B/Y box->split to tuner or my amp which is a rivera chubster. I usually trim down this setup based on the gig, but you get the point.
The pedal is not noisy.
This is by far the best chorus I have ever heard. Period. I recently had the fulltone choralflange which is modeled after the boss ce-1 whereas this one is a copy of the EH clone chorus. The sound from this pedal is just so pleasing to the ear that it is the end to my chorus search. It truly sounds considerably better than the fulltone. As you can see, I'm a big fan of mike fuller's products, yet the mini chorus wins by a lanslide in this case. Think bob dylan the rolling thunder sessions or clapton with the song badge. 99% of the chorus pedals out there have a "cheese" factor. this one does not.

Reliability : 10
built like a tank. I'd buy a new one if it broke. I can't afford a back up. It's a bit of a steep price. I'm sure mike is making a killing on this pedal. No doubt it sounds good however.

Customer Support : 10
no problems where I needed him. when I bought the pedal, he was communicative and very friendly.

Overall Rating : 9
I play black crowes, stones type stuff, mainly americana rock. This pedal is all that I've been looking for in a chorus. The leslie effect is very nice, as is the slower more lush sounds. I like the mini chorus as it fits on my pedal board easily. If you are truly looking for a vintage chorus sound, ala pink floyd, this pedal is for you. If you are in a hair band or more progressive in nature, you may wish to try fulltone's pedal. Overall, I'm very happy. I'm giving this a 9 as the price for any chorus pedal is pretty steep for your average musician.

Update from my previous review...

I have found what I have been lloking for for soooo long!

This thing is easy to get great sounds from. I encourage experimenting with it. There are some wonderful treasured this thing will add to your tone if you experiment, not only with it, but how it enterfaces with other pedals in your chain. Try it, you will be well rewarded.

Sound Quality : 10
I changed my pedal chain around. Now go from Strat or LP > TS9/silver > SD Pickup Booster > H&K Tubrman preamp > Bose NS2 (with Clone Chrus > Boss GE7 in effects loop of NS2) > DigitalFx out in stereo to Peavey 212 and Marshall 212 (using the the tube power amps only).

I must say... I about fell over once I played the LP through this set up. Then I played the Strat. Bottom line, I have found my tone. The tone I have searched for for 30+ years.

The clone is a major part of my overall sound in that it's on about 50% of the time, maybe even a bit more. And you defintely don't think "what a nice chorus". It has an overall "feel" to it, broadens the sounds, while enhancing the tone. You can easily set it so you really don't know it's on until you turn it off, to a nice lush/thick chorus, great leslie tones, and the deep option on line can take it up down down in the emphasised frequency ranges it affects. WOW. This thing is unreal. I can get a crystal clear chimey chorus, or the throbbing type chrus effect with overdrive added. Likes clean as much as distortion. Unreal. AnalogMike is the man! Love his TS9/silver too. The only thing I may ever add is a good quality compressor, but that'll be a while (if ever).

I am not sure how much difference the pedal arrangement made on the sound of the chorus itself, but overall, this is the sound I have been searching for. These are the tones I've always wanted at my disposal.

Reliability : 10
Without doubt.

Customer Support : 10
I probably was a bit hard on Mike last time. I have upped my rating here because he has answered every email I have ever sent in less than one business day and even given thoughtful advice when asked.

Doesn't get any better.

Overall Rating : 10
Unbelievable. Heck, I thought is was unbelievable before changing my signal path! Over 30 years of searching for the tone you can go to bed every night stoked about and now I have it. I am so happy with the overall sound and the enhancements the Clone has contributed. You'll get tones from this thing that most would never guess were sounds from a chorus. It is truly is a great tone enhancer among other things.

If this one were lost or stolen, I save up and probably get the bi-chorus. These chorus's are that good. I am not typically one to give many 10's but this pedal is amazing.

Ease of Use : 10
Couldn't be easier. Nice, concise, one page manual from AnalogMike. Clone Chorus #1506.

Sound Quality : 10
'70 Strat & LP > AnalogMan TS9/silver > Boss GE7 > H&K Tubeman preamp > Boss NS2 > Clone Chorus > Duncan Pick up Booster > multifx unit for delay only > Stereo out to '82 Peavey 212 Tube Combo & Marshall 212 tube combo (in through fx Return on both). I don't use either combo's preamp. OR, straight from ES equipped Taylor Accoustics (714CE, 310CE Ltd, both with the ES system stereo out to acoustic amp and PA). I really stive for my own sounds, but it is everything I need and then some. This unit is completely neutral. No volume changes, no pops when engaged or disengaged. True bypass. Really a nice, versitile unit and is worth the minimal upcharge. Loads the thick tones. I got the "deep" option...adds 2 more sets of usable options. This one is definitely the best, most "pure" chorus I have heard. QUIET TOO! Definitely superb. Too many adjectives to list...an awesome value.

Reliability : 9
It's only 2 weeks old...But obviously well made. Never had an issue with an AnalogMan product. Had my modded TS9 for over a year. A nine only because I've only dealt with them for just over a year.

Customer Support : 10
I wish I could get the type of service AM provides even 25% of the time elsewhere...

Overall Rating : 10
I Love this pedal. As well as my AnalogMan TS9. It really works well with the rest of my rig. A definite keeper and I will always have it (or one like it) in my chain (good Lord willing!). I've been playing for 30 years. Haven't seen a better sounding chorus for sure. i looked at the AnalogMan CompROSSer...if I ever add anything else, that'll probably be it. Considered TC Electronics and a few others, but Analogman's unit was the right choice for me. I only thing I regret is going ahead and getting the Bi-Chorus, bu tobviously my mistake. Still I am thrilled with how this unit seems to make me play better...or maybe I just enjoy it more.
