Ease of Use

This was a mod for a early 80s Crybaby Wah, already having the red fasel inductor. The mod did not change, much but on ease of use things got worse. The included special wah-pot would not allow you to hang the pedal during play like it used to. It just dropped to the floor. Other than that ease of use was better as a 9v input jack was added to allow the unit to connect to a power supply.

Like I mentioned this one had the best fasel inductor in it already, so I opted to have three things done. 1. new Special Pot 2. 9v input jack 3. True bypass switch.
When it arrived, the sound was perfect, but the new situation where the pedal would not hang, but just dropped to the floor was a bummer!

The Special Pot, become scratchy in less than 6mos. Deoxit was required before any gig (the original was not scratchy!!). Mike's switched pops loud when the pedal is engaged. I do understand this occurs with true bypass pedals, but even the stuck up guys at Fulltone have managed a quiet system for their true bypass offerings.
For $110 bucks, I would have been better of putting the original pedal on eBay to put the funds toward a Fulltone or RMC pedal.

This is what was a drag. I reported the issues and got week replies to each item, one referencing how long the Special Pot warranty was??? Not what I expected or experienced from Mike in dealing with him regarding his pedals previously.

I like Mike's pedals and have owned the Sunface and Bi-Chorus. They are quality pedals. This experience was a complete drag and I was basically blown off after the mods where performed.
I would not seek work from their shop at this stage, but I would buy his pedals. Either I was not worth the time or they are just too busy building. Not sure, but my money was wasted.
