The original WH1 Whammy already sounds great. This mod makes it "sound" even better when it's off! ; )

First off, the original Whammy smokes the current WH4 model. I used an original Whammy on some sessions back around 95 and was simply borrowing the unit. When they came out with the WH4 in 99, I thought I'd be sweet and pick up the "reissue" with the extra features. I went on using this for about 4 years. I thought it seemed to lack something and of course it added noise and sucked up tone when it was off. In 2004, I was doing some "homework" on the Whammy and from all the debate regarding the WH1 vs. WH4, I decided to take the leap and track down an original on Ebay. What a difference! Night and day! I kick myself for the 4 years I ran a WH4. The steep price tag for an original is worth it if you love the Whammy and it's effects.

Analogman is the bomb!!! I've never had a complaint with all his work. He's outstanding and cares greatly about customer satisfaction. Installing the true bypass mod on my Whammy has made my tone better and the pedal more sound.

If you love the Digitech Whammy pedal and own an original, don't hesitate to send it in for this mod from Analogman. You will be pleased. I've had over 10 years of experience with the Whammy and this is by far the best sounding one (both on and off) that I've had the pleasure of using.

i use mostly left handed japan strats , 2 fender prosonic combo's
not noisy at all.
great effects it gives you what you want

this is the best whammy pedal out there if you find one get it ,the new ones suck :(

OK this is the main reason why i am writing this review ,i have been dealing with mike pierra (analogman) for a year now ,he is awesome always answear's e mails and can talk to him on the phone ,the guy is down to earth and he is keeping it real,for 8 month's i kept bugging him about instaling a true bypass in my whammy pedal ,i am a tone fanatic ,and had to have every thing true bypassed ,and i couldn't trust any one with my pedals eccept for him.finally he said send it :) i just got it back and its great ,i love it you know just like a WAH pedal a whammy pedal can suck your tone bretty bad in my openion.so now i dont have to worry about that anymore ,evreything MR PIERRA touch's turn to a good sounding pedal ,he is the man to go to ,GOD bless him ,get all his pedals ,the chorus ,the ts-9 modded pedal ,the compressor ,the boss ds-1 modded pedal ,,just great stuff ,i cant recommend the guy enough .thanks MIKE :):):)

i play almost everything ,but i am mostly into rock 80's
ihave been playing for 16 years now
oh god i hope not if its stolen i wouldcry like a baby and buy one right away
i love the sound and the flaxibility and the crazy things this pedal can do
this is the ultimate whammy in a floor pedal
a built in tuner would have been a nice future but i am not complaining
it can be a creative tool sure .
