i play jazz based electronic funk....this pedal rocks...i have been through a few others and i now pheel that i am using a pro compressor. i use a gibson blueshawk (with lindy fralin P-90 pickups) into a tees rmc3le wah then into an electro-chem labs true bypass strip...of of this i run every thin...first, i have 2 analogman ts808 silvers, into the dyna ross, then a mxr phase 90. then a line 6 filter pro, then the analog man clone chorus.then elesis midi verb proccessor and then a line 6 echo pro, and the a Zvex Super hard on..all amped by a fender blues junior...my setup is amazingly phat..i love it...all with the help of analog man. i bought the teese wah from him also..alond with the 3 pedals he modded and the chorus i got form him......MIKE IS THE BEST!!!!

2 Knobs, 1 switch; just like the Dyna Comp

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using a USA Deluxe Strat through a AnalogMan Maxon OD-9 "silver mod" tubescreamer, AnalogMan Dyna/Ross modded MXR Dyna Comp, ProCo Rat, and into a Fender Blues Junior.
I had been using my friend's blue Boss compressor/sustainer (is it called a C-5???) and after buying the AnalogMan, my sound is completely different; it stays on all of the time as it has breathed new life into the amp. Comparing the Boss with the AnalogMan is like comparing apples to oranges - you just can't do it. It's clean, whisper-quiet, and gives my Blues Junior the growl and more of the sound of one of it's bigger Fender Twin syblings.

Mike makes the best. Period.

People looking and paying a small fortune for the old MXR "script" Dyna Comps or the Grey Ross compressors will not be dissapointed! Mark my words - this will do it for you; and totally exceed your expectations! I play classic rock-style christian music and worship music - kind of like a cross between Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, and U2. There is nothing I don't like about this petal: It's built like a tank, and wired by a master! Thank you Mike!!

Easy to use.

Here is the set up.Relic strat, dynaross, analogman sd-1,Brand new RI Super reverb..With the pedal off there was no noise with the super.I turned the comp on full sustain and volume and it added 0 noise to the already quiet amp..I was very suprised. The comp in combination with the sd-1 did not add any noise. It did however boost the signal noise ratio.BUT Setting the comp with the sd-1 in a unity gain setting did not add any noise. The DynaRoss alone is quiet.
Think Steeley Dan's My old School,or your typical radio country song guitar compression..Taking the sd-1,comp and super,I created a tri switcher,Clean with or with out comp, dirty with out comp add the comp and your in EVH land.Pretty different to hear that coming from a super reverb. The comp had a very clean top end on it.I didn't notice any attenuation in that department. This is the 100% Ross clone with no internal attack trim.It is like the Keeley. But the Keeley had a noise issue compared to this pedal, and also didn't have that transparent high end.The Keeley comp was and is a good unit, but a little over hyped.I expected a lot from the Keeley based on reviews but it didn't deliver.Keep at it Robert.I love having multiple choices in comps.

All in all it is a great little comp for the price.I am an all around player. Also a producer and audio engineer.I have tons of gear.I own several Comps, and my Tech owns several as well,Fender,Maxon,Keeley,Analogman,MXR,Dan Armstrong. This comp is one of the best out of the lot. Thanks Mike for improving on an already good sounding pedal.
