Nothing there really: basic volume and fuzz knob which react wonderfully well when you roll your guitar volume knob down or up! Instant vintage fuzz sound!

Sound great! A musician couldn't possibly be unsatisfied with this pedal, no matter how hard he is to convince.
Really gives me those Hendrickx tones as well as it gives me those Pink Floyd tones. I cannot stress how much I like this pedal.
Works great with tubeamps but are good with solidstates too.
Only one thing that isn't great about this pedal is the noise you get when it's interfearing with the radio, then it gives you radio sounds together with your guitar signal. No worry though! The originals did that too, and strangely enough that noise stopped!

Only when the battery is dead it would be a problem considering the reliability but I don't think thats the pedals fault, just buy a little battclip and thats done!!!

Never needed any for this pedal, but since I buy from AnalogMan quiet often, I noticed they are very friendly and helpful.

For rock and even blues (?!) this thing is awesome: it's extremely versatile and it sounds just the way it's meant to be!!!
My world wouldn't be the same if I lost this; it's one of my favorites, together with my BK Butler Tube Driver and Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man witch says something about the value of this thing too! I would buy this thing even if it was 100 $ more expensive!
I really, really much advise this to musicians who want nothing but the best!!!

The pedal controls are set and forget. To get the REAL tones out of this pedal require good picking dynamic control and manipulation of the guitar's volume control. Does not work well with a wah wah, making ocillation noise (THE ORIGINALS DID THIS TOO). Picks up radio signals also like the originals.

I'm using an American strat with Fender CS '69 reissue pus and a DR Z MAZ 18 JR. I was looking to replace my Roger Mayer Axis for the ultimate '69-'70 Jimi tone and got it here big time! Tonally, this pedal is smoother and less bright than the Axis. It does however get brighter and sparkly on lower gtr volume settings making it more useful with the neck pickup. It doesn't get totally clean when you lower your gtr volume but it cleans enough to give you unlimited shades of fuzz. My volume knob has more sweet spots with this pedal than my NKT modded FF. Big surprise is that this sunface works unbelievably well with my Ultravibe IN FRONT of it! Sounds great with my Octavian too! Very inspiring pedal.

The build quality is about as good as it gets. I have never had any trouble with Analogman stuff. I also have their BiComp, and NKT Modded Fuzz Face and it's all extremely high quality work.

Analogman stuff is impeccable. He builds tools for real world applications. It's expensive but if your looking for the absolute last word in fuzz faces (ge or si) Analogman is king. It took about 2 weeks or so before the pedal shipped so be prepared for a wait but it's worth waiting for.

If you know what to expect from a good silicon fuzz face, then getting a great sound should be simple for you. If you don't know what to expect, owning a good guitar and decent valve/tube amp that you can crank is crucial to getting the best results from a pedal such as this. Also ensure that no buffered pedals are in your chain between guitar and Sun Face, as this will ruin most of your fun.
With all that in mind, just plug in, set fuzz to around 90-95% and adjust volume to taste. There is an internal 'bias' control on two knob models, to tailor the fuzz tone from sputter to smooth. Some models, like mine, include an external bias control which allows you to tweak easier.

Three words sum up the sound of this pedal, Band Of Gypsys. It is the best late Hendrix style fuzz pedal I've ever owned. It snarls and spits in a way germanium fuzz would never dare and is overall a little brighter in tone, as a result it cuts through nicely in a live setting. Conversely it lacks the warmth of the NKT275 version and doesn't seem quite as fat, but it has more gain and defintely offers a more aggressive edge to your tone.
With the guitar's volume knob the NKT gets totally clean at maximum fuzz setting, where the BC108 will remain gritty, although lowering the fuzz will allow clean tones from your volume control. There is an equal wealth of tones to be had from both types and each is remarkably responsive to vol/tone changes, but to me the BC108 offers a wider range of sounds with it's multiple shades of grit.
At maximum settings there is a touch more hiss than with the germanium version, but that's to be expected and it's never approached a troublesome level for me. Generally I prefer the fuzz a notch below maximum, where the hiss isn't a problem at all and the overall sound balances best in my rig. I use this pedal between a Tele & AC30's Normal Channel to achieve raw, retro fuzz sounds.

I play many kinds of music as the only guitarist in a three piece band. Been playing for twelve years, the last of which I've spent using a fuzz as my main source of gain, varying guitar volume and picking attack to control the amount. The BC108 Sun Face fits these needs perfectly and delivers my ideal fuzz tones that also interact with other effects very nicely. It is a HUGE sounding pedal, best enjoyed at full volumes with a sweaty amp, guaranteed to bring a very big smile to your face!

Also, worth pointing out that my BC108 Sun Face is a very cool Donnerboxed version from www.donnerbox.com and that Donner himself took very good care of me during our transaction. The finish on the pedal is tasteful, unique, durable and very well done. Thanks Donner!
