Very simple to use. You really can't get a bad sound out of it.

I use this with a strat into an old marshall. It's one of the quietest distortion pedals out there. I usually use it on full (spicy) or close to it. It sounds absolutely amazing. It has that late '60s early '70 tube pushed to the limit, compressed sound. With a Les Paul, you get that Clapton, Cream era tone. You can get controlled feedback very easily with this. I find it a bit dull, when the drive controll is down (mild).

I've had this for 18 months and there's been no problems with it. No concern about giging without a backup. I'm thinking of getting another one of these, in case it ever gets nicked and Greg gets too busy recording to make any more!

I bought this directly from Greg, after my band recorded in his studio. Nice guy, great engineer (esp. drum and guitar sounds), very helpfull. I think he mainly makes the Peanut Butters. These seem to be a bit rare.

I play rock and blues. This is great for a natural, compressed, agressive bluesy tone. I use a Peanut Butter for milder distortion. Been playing for about 25 years. I've owned heaps of gear, way too much to list. I'd definitely get another if there was a problem. When I compare my Rat and Tube Screamer to this, they sound really lame. I just can't stand their tone since getting this.

This pedal is really easy to use. It has two knobs; basically a volume knob and a gain knob.

This pedal gets a pretty good tone! The pedal doesn't have a tone control, as it is basically meant to preserve the tone of your amp. I have found that it actually cuts a bit of the low end out though, which you can't rectify, even with my 1/2 stack. The distortion ranges from crunchy to fuzzy with a turn of the gain knob. It reproduces really well those distorted rock sounding tones from the early 90's. Definitely a good pedal to buy if that is the tone you want. For this it is unbeatable!
My setup: Unknown USA strat style guitar with a bridge les paul humbucker and two fender single coils (long story!) --> couple of other effects pedals --> Crate vintage club 50 TUBE amp.
This pedal does not work well on a solid state amp, such as a peavey rage 158, which is what I used to have.

Really reliable. Solid metal casing. I gig about once a fortnight and have been doing so for about 8 years. I have used it live about 50 times without backup (except for my amp's distortion) and would use it again.

I know the guy who makes these and he is great! So friendly and is happy to tweak stuff for you. Worth dealing with him for sure.

I play everything from blues to metal, but especially christian praise and worship / rock. I have been playing for about 10 years. I have tried or owned a number of different distortion pedals and really like this one. This pedal does NOT do overdrive though...I need an overdrive pedal! It is good because it doesn't stuff up your tone in bypass mode, it is only a little noisy, and has the most creamy crunchy sound with the lowest gain setting. Worth buying, but quite rare!
