Simple, three-knob interface, but figuring out how the Mojo and Fuzz knobs interact takes a bit of experimentation. However, with only three knobs to worry about, it isn't very hard at all.
There are many, many useful sounds in this unit. Wide sweet spots. Even the less sonically appetizing sounds (like Fuzz and Mojo maxed, very spitty/sputtery with chords) are fascinating in their own way and will get used by plenty of people. My favorite setting for the unit is Fuzz maxed, mojo at around 2 o'clock. Great definition, great clarity, and fuzzy as can be!

I'm giving it a 10/10 here. I could not in good faith vote otherwise.
I used to hate fuzz. This has changed my mind. Enough said.
I'm running this into a THD Univalve. The THD is a fairly bright amp, though I roll its treble back to control the overbrightness. This fuzz + that amp = amazing.

Well, I picked it up in a trade. I have opened it up and checked it out. A bit rough-hewn inside, but it's a mark of its hand-made character ;) Everything is well soldered. I have no worries about this unit holding up to use. I do not abuse my gear, though the sturdy enclosure and chassis-mounted input, output, power in, and switch makes me think it would hold up even to abuse.

Since I got it second hand, I can't really comment... but Keith seems like a nice guy from everything I've read. He posts on the Harmony Central forums every once in awhile.

I play blues, jazz fusion, and prog/thrash metal. Needless to say, this pedal is more for the first two than the last one. It's got an awesome sound, and I have a feeling I'll be looking into getting a Soul Patch soon. Aramat effects are well-made, sound amazing, and priced very well considering they're decidedly "boutique." There isn't much in a Fuzz Face circuit, but you just know that going in and have to understand that cost-to-build doesn't equal market value or worth. It's either worth it to you or it isn't, so make up your mind on that and you'll be fine :)

Guitars:Tele nashvill,Epiphone 335, Banshee by Schecter ( like a fender cyclone)
Pedals path: Nebula>Mojo>Germania>Soulbender>Budda>Crunch Box>Blues Pro> Sonic Boom>Black Fuzz>Volume pedal>Mobius Feedback looper with a old USA DOD FX90 Analog Delay in the loop.
Amps: Fender'65 Super Reverb RI. and a Carvin Nomad
First this is a dark sounding fuzz. I'm use to dialing out treble on most pedals rather than add .The mojo by being dark works great in a bright rooms or halls.Having a pedal that can be on the dark side can save the day(gig)!
Second I found different Batterys or use of an AC adaptor can effect the operation of this pedal . I like the sound of a carbon battery powering the pedal. But, Alkaline batteries are recommend for best operation.
Third this pedal works great with all other pedals and guitars . My favorit combo is my 335 neck pickup with the tone knob turn all the way down .I set the Mojo for high gain fuzz then run it into a treble booster(Germania)thats turn all the way up for Claptons Women tone .Alone I hit the early Hendrix sound and playing slide with the Mojo I git a fat sound.

I have been playing for 20 years and have tried lots of Fuzz Face type of pedals and Keiths take on the fuzz face I like the best .His customer service is top notch. I would buy a pedal from him again . I feel that I have finaly rounded out my Fuzz tone texture with the Mojo. I'm very happy I bought it. I can nail the early/mid '60s fuzz sound and also can play rock , blues and country with it yes I said country .

Like the last reviewer says...hard not to get a good sound regardless of where it is set! I first ordered a Soul Patch Fuzz from Keith but found it to be too aggressive(great pedal too). He exchanged it for the MF . Sounds friggin great! I have avoided using fuzz because most other Fuzz pedals sound too raspy...this one is warm and smooth! It goes from a mild boost to a heavy fuzz.
Instant gratification!

3 knobs, all very interactive with each other. It's hard not to find what you're looking for here. Goes from a very mild overdrive type sound to full-on craziness. It's very musical at all settings and extremely transparent.

Works great with all my Fender amps (59 Bassman RI, BF Champ, Pro Jr) and all my guitars (tele, Gretsch, Guild, etc) Impossible not to get a good, useable sound at any setting. It seems very intuitive, like it know what other pedals you're using with it and what it should do. I have it behind the aforementioned TS9 and it takes the boost nicely. It's also after my Vox Wah and when the wah is engaged, the Mojo almost seems to recognize that and turn itself off so I get an unpolluted wah sound. Wah goes off and there's the Mojo, dirt-ing things up for me again. Responds well to changes in guitar volume and doesn't color the tone. You know a tele's a tele.

Built like the proverbial tank (although I must have missed that day at Sunday school). If I couldn't depend on *it*, I know I could depend on the Aramat owner/tech/guru, Keith. I have no doubt that if I called with a problem in 1, 5, or even 10 years that Keith would do everything he could to make everything right.

Unbelievable. Had an issue with the germaniums, which was probably due to the fact that I stupidly didn't wait long enough to use it when I got it so it went from a hot mailbox to my board and I probably cooked it. No questions asked. Sent it back and now it cooks but in a good way.

If it were stolen I'd ask keith to overnight a replacement. I would really have trouble playing without it.
It's a good match for any kind of music. Even on the lower settings you get a nice useable sound, which can't be said for some other effects. Sounds just as sweet with my hollowbody Gretsch as it does with my tele or Les Paul. It's all good people!

I am very amaze with the sound and versatility, true bypass, quiet may get a little noise when maxed. Good chord definition. The thing I really love about the Mojo that its sound very good with my V847 Vox wah. It has a good sustain and lots of gain and when you roll back your guitar volume it cleans up real nice( with no tone loss nor low end.The wah sounds better after the Mojo. My setup; strat or les paul> rotovibe> mojo fuzz> vox wah> marshall TSL100 combo. I like to dial P-Funk's Eddie (Maggot Brain) Hazel fuzztone and definely the classic hendrixian fuzzface tone.

I play blues, classic rock, funk. This is a big improvement of fuzztone and the best deal for the quality it has. I own the Dunlop FF, Big and the Double Muff. These pedals can't deliver true classic fuzztone that I being looking for; the wah sounds like crap with these pedal. If lost or stolen I would buy another in a heartbeat. I was ready to buy the analogman sunface, I listen to bought of the sound clips of these pedals and Mojo hit the tone I been searching for. You got to check this baby out! Thanks to Keith and Aramat Effects for helping netrualize fizzytone syndrome!

It's pretty easy to use, just 3 pot's...volume, fuzz and mojo. Increase the vol. and it gets louder!...Increase the fuzz and you get more fuzz!..the mojo is harder to explain, the biggest effect it has is to increase the sustain, but it also has the more subtle effect of giving you more richness and depth of tone. I got warm, pleasing tones straight out of the box, but it took me a couple of hours of playing with the settings of the pedal and the pick-up selector and tone control on my guitar before I really got the best out of it.

I'm very happy with the sound. I play a 1978 standard Fender Telecaster into a 1964 Fender Bassman piggie back amp (AA864 circuit) with a 2x12" cabinet. I play rhythm in a band and this pedal provides me with both smooth, warm break-up and some nice crunch when needed as well as full fuzz for BRMC type sounds. When playing on my own I like to play SRV licks, Hendrix and John Frusciante's funk style. The pedal is very versatile and sounds awesome for all of this, it can really nail Hendrix!

The electronics are housed in a rugged die cast aluminium box, no thrills (not painted). The pot's, footswitch and jacks all seem good quality. When you open the box, the wiring looks pretty messy and I must admit that build quality could be a lot better. The circuit board has been very roughly cut out and a few wires have melted insulation from the soldering iron....at least you know it's hand made! At the heart of the beast is two vintage germanium pnp transisters, I'm not sure if these old transisters are as reliable as modern day silicon transisters, but it's the non linear gain and distortion characteristics of these little fellas that give the pedal such a nice warm sound. I think it will stand the test of time, but the build quality could be better so I'll give it 7.

I've been playing guitar about 6 years, but only a couple of years on electric. I own a Retroman Beano (great pedal) and was going to get the Lola fuzz pedal to go with it, but a mate of mine accidentally ordered two Mojo Fuzz pedals instead of one so I decided to have one of them and I'm glad I did. If it was lost or stolen I'd almost certainly get another, but I'd like to put it up against the Lola because I've read great things about that pedal too. If I had to choose again without hearing the Lola first then I'd pick the Mojo Fuzz as I know it sounds awesome and it costs less.

pretty easy to use - there's some interaction between the knobs, so you have to play with your mojo and your fuzz a bit to get it sounding how you want.

the sound is quite nice - the only real basis of comparison I have is to a USA Big Muff. Whereas the Muff goes from 'heavy fuzz' to 'very heavy fuzz', this one goes from 'no fuzz' to 'heavy fuzz'. I would definitely say the two pedals have a different character - the muff is more saturated - but the mojo fuzz gets as heavy as I want. One of the things I wished I could do with the Big Muff is turn down the fuzz quite a bit. This pedal fits that desire. I use it mainly with a telecaster, fulltone bass drive, and ampeg superjet at low volumes. It sounds pretty good on bass too, though I tend to only want to add a bit of overdrive if using distortion on bass.

seems reliable, looks real tough, but I've only had it for a couple months so I choose not to rate it. The input jack is a bit tight - it takes a bit of force to plug in - but I guess that's better than loose, isn't it?

I use a fender strat, fender tele and a gibson standard SG into either a fender (Rivera) concert, Marshall jcm800 50w lead or a Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber+ (all 3 tube combos).
Most of the time, the guitars go through a Fulltone Fulldrive2, a Boss CE-1 (chorus and vibrato), followed by the Mojo Fuzz and a fulltone '69 fuzz. Occasionally I plug in some other stuff in between, but these 4 have become my favorite main combination.
I always preferred to not use any effects and create my sound by cranking the amps. The only reason I got into using effects, was that my current band members don't like to play on high volumes anymore (one has some ear damage!). That's when I was starting my search for a more ear-friendly overdrive tone.
First I bought the FD2. As I am still very fond of my FD2, when I started out looking for a fuzz I first got interested in the Fulltone 69, but soon (thanks to harmony-central) my eye also fell on the mojo fuzz.
I now have both and with the above described chain I'm a very happy person. On some settings, the pedals sound alike, but they definitely have there own sound on most settings. That's what I used them for, as teamed up with the FD2 (which also has an additional boost), I can get some very nice characteristic sounds.
If I had to choose between the two, I would keep the mojo, because it just has more bottom or whatsoever I like in that sound (I still would miss the 69 though!).
I never use the guitar volume for clearing up the tone, just a fuzz on or off! Most of the time the fuzz is around 12 o'clock, volume and mojo vary! The pedal works best with the fender guitars. The SG is already hard to tame, but combining some slight fuzz with the guitar's sustain gives endless tones!
I first used to have a problem with the fuzz pedals and CE-1 chorus, as I put the fuzz pedals before the CE-1. The CE-1 sucked away all tone of the fuzz pedals. Putting the CE-1 in front of the fuzz pedals solved the problem (thanks Keith!).

Styles: anything I like, mostly blues or rock'n roll based type of music. Never really took the time to learn anything. Still have no knowledge of chords or whatever musical theory. I just try to find out a way to play what I hear.
At the time I was lucky with the rate of the dollar vs the euro, but in the same situation I would definetely buy it again.
The mojo also works fine on low volumes. That's probably one of the reasons that I find myself practising at home more often these days. It's simply a very, very nice pedal, once you've discovered it's possibillities (and I haven't discovered all yet)!

Heard and read about this pedal for awhile. Since I?m a sucker for everything Fuzz Face. I said to myself..OI gotta try this pedalO!
The pedal is housed in a rugged hammond box casing with a really bright red LED. The pedal is one of the loudest FF clone that I have played. It uses two germanium transistors (please don?t ask me what they are).
The pedal is a Fuzz Face clone thru and thru with a little modification. The addition of the OMojoO knob. Which is basically a ObiasO knob. Around 12 o?clock it sounds like your basic very good sounding FF. On maxed settings, it sounds fatter almost Big Muff-y. Though, not quite a Big Muff.
Fuzz: This knob allows you to dial the gain of the pedal. Between 9-12 o?clock....I?m telling you..it?s a very good overdrive pedal. And it also helps that the pedal is very transparent sounding, almost flat sounding. (think flat-mids Fulldrive)
Meaning...When you play your regular clean tone then, step on it. It?s almost like your amp was all of a sudden dimed to it?s maxed-fuzzed version. The pedal really acts like a part of your guitar and amp. Very much like the Fulltone O69, but with more gain and fuzz to tap.
Q: Does it clean up when you roll your guitar?s volume knob?
A: Yes it does, and very well indeed even on full fuzz.
Hendrix, Cream, Eric Johnson Fuzztones is just a stomp away!
I own '52 Tele and a '77 Deluxe going through a Vox AC30 amp

And I can honestly say that this pedal is on the top of my favorites. Great bang for the buck fuzz face clone. Don't waste your cash on a $200 Fuzz Face clone. This pedal will deliver for lesser dough. Two thumbs up!

Difficult to tweak. I was expecting much more out of this unit, and it took quite some time to find a "usable" sound for my specific purposes.

The good thing about this unit is that it's quiet as death. The only problem is it's inability to work with other pedals. I use a Voodoo Lab chorus and the power gets soaked from the fuzz. The pedal by itself sounds great, especially run through a Bassman or a Super Reverb, that is, after you've sat down for sevral hours looking for that elusive tone. The harmonic feedback it creates is really cool, and if I were a different kind of player, I would love this effct, but the effect is just too strong for my needs.

Overall, this pedal is well built and solid, but it doesn't quite get the kind of tone one would imagine. The "mojo" setting is incredibly versatile, but almost too much. It took a long time to get the sound I wanted. I own the "Green Machine" and I would have to say that it's the best unit I've heard from Aramat. Mojo Fuzz comes up a little short when compared to the other stuff he makes.
