4 knobs - distorion, level, low, high. very easy.

this is a "metal pedal". it has a higher gain distortion than one of their regular distortion pedals (of the time). however it is not the thick shredding "wall of sound" that the "metal" pedals of today produce. it is, however, a very good sounding distortion. i use it with several other aria pedals and various amps. i can get the sounds i like with it. the music i play ranges from ethnic to shoegazer space rock to melvins.

the unit i got is pretty sketchy. i need to do a little soldering. but i have had a phase shifter from the same batch of aria effects for the last 18 years or so, and have used it at every show with every band i have been in. i have never repaired it, and it has never failed me. that is why i buy these pedals up whenevr i find them! very reliable.

i have been playing for almost 20 years. i have played professionally for the last 6. i have taken my aria effects into the most demanding situations and they have never let me down. if it were stolen, i would buy another immediately after tracking down the theif and butchering him/her. smiles and daiseys.
