There isn't too much to figure out with this pedal. The instructions are reasonable, but there' no substitute for playing around with it. I was looking for a rockabilly slap, which I got first time, and then I played around with the long delay.

Sound Quality : 6
Is is kind of noisy, but fun at the same time. I use it on a couple of songs and I just plug it in when I need it. I wouldn't use it as part of a fixed effects chain.

Reliability : 3
It's actually not reliable at all. I've only used it at two gigs, and already it doesn't always switch on when I plug the cable into it unless I wiggle it around a bit. Also, the cover for the battery compartment keeps pinging off so I had to tape it on. To make things more interesting, when it runs out of batteries, it kills the signal dead. And it burns through batteries fast.

I'm in a band that genre-hops, so I use this effect for a couple of songs, one rockabilly and one psychadelic. It's excellent fun to play with, but I wouldn't want to get too reliant on it. You get what you pay for -- it's only $25.

I'm shopping around for a permanent replacement now, and I'll probably end up with a Visual Sound H2O. At the same time, though, I'll have a fondness for the Arion pedal that started it all. I wouldn't replace it, but I'm very glad I bought it.

Easy to use. Sounds good out of the box. I'd suggest playing with the trim pots on the inside (be careful not to break them!).

Taco tele, Carvin dc-135, and G&L F-100 into 100 watt univox head and a crappy four twelve cabinet. As for pedals: blues driver, newer tube screamer, boss chorus, DOD FX90 (analog delay), and a volume pedal.

Sounds surprisingly good. No tone suck as far as I can tell. I bought this at the same time as the fx90 because both were cheap and I didn't know if I wanted digital or analog. I think both have their place, but I usually use the analog delay (more 'natural', warmer, mellow). But, I have to say that this thing sounds good for a digital delay. Clear delay. No distortion or weird noises.

Reliability : 3
Well, it's plastic. Everything is plastic. Nothing's broken, yet. But I could see stepping on one of the pots and breaking it off... keep in mind, though, I could buy three of these for the price of a DD3.

As long as I'm careful I imagine it will keep on working.

never contacted them.

Good pedal for a great price. If you're thinking about it, just buy it. Sooo cheap. It's no tank like a boss, but just don't throw it around. I should also say that it doesn't quite have all the features of the boss delays (no infinate repeat, delay times are shorter, no crazy reverse warp sounds or whatever), but it sounds good. Solid electronics in a crappy plastic case.

very easy to use. I didn't even read the manual

sound quality is surprisingly good. I was using a Boss DD3 and I was not happy wit hit, the tone is too sterile. This is warmer and more musical although it doesn't have all the features of the dd3. But I only use delays to add ambience to my leads and it is perfect for that. I'm selling my DD3 now.

Sounds really good and the price is SO right.

Reliability : 8
well the case is plastic, so you cannot just throw it in a bag like a Boss pedal, however if you mount it on a good pedalboard it should be fine. Or carry it in its box. It came in a box for a reason, you know...

I take good care of my gear anyway, I don't like throwing things around. The pedal work fine and should last.

I bought it from MF and they were great. I will not rate this category because I don't anything about Arion Customer Service, but MF is really good with refunds etc...

I feel this is the best delay available for a digital delay.

It sounds really good, it is quiet and the price is just great. I also have the Boss DD3 and this sounds better IMHO.. the DD3 is going on ebay this week.. don't get me wrong, the DD3 is an ok pedal, a little sterile, but for the price this one beats it hands down.
A lot of people buy because stuff of the brand. Not me, I bought this one because of the tone. It sounds really good, I could buy 2 (one for long and one for short delays) and it still be less than half the price of the Boss. Unbelievable.

Really amazing pedal for the money. Since it's so cheap I expect they have some lemons out there, but mine was just perfect.

Didn't read manual - too easy. The three knobs will quickly get you just what you're looking for. It does perfect slapback and slightly longer which is all I needed. Experimenting with longer settings has been fun and satisfying - though not what i bought this for, it has MORE versatility than I expected. It has all I need and nothing I don't need. Gotta love that price!

Sound Quality : 9
I was very skeptical of the price but man oh man am I glad I picked this up. The level knob lets the repeat go from a whisper to louder than the original note, the feedback knob gives you anything from a single repeat to infinite, and the time knob has ample delay for my needs.

I am using this in front of a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue as it has no effects loop. There's a changing variety of other assorted pedals before the delay and only one after it, an Arion SPH-1 Phaser. The delay adds no digital artifacts or other gremlins that I can detect, regardless of the settings, and I listen VERY close for anything that might take away from the already great sound of the amp alone. I love the interaction of the delay the amp's onboard reverb. When adding the Phaser I prefer to nix the reverb as things can get a little TOO swirly. I'm primarily using an American Strat and mostly have that Deluxe Reverb cranked. Delicious for blues and classic rock where a little slapback fits PERFECTLY!

I haven't a/b'd this next to other pedals so I can't say if there's something out there that I might like even better - what I can say is this definitely gets the job done. Don't let the price scare you.

I have 4 other (much older) Arion pedals purchased years ago as part of a package. All perform admirably and sound great to boot. I like this company.

ADAM ya cocky bastard it was so easy to tell it was you reviewing it.
Any way i bought the pedal off Gert today and it sure does kick ass.
It doesn't have the longest number of repeats on the market but no-one musical is ever going to need minutes worth of echoes.

It is simple to use and sounds like any delay pedal.

Sound Quality : 8
some noise through it but far less if run through the effects loop.

Reliability : 9
only cased in plastic but my arion tuner is still going strong after two years solid work.

Recommend using Power adapter not battery as it chews them.

After trying such delay pedals as boss, ibanez i tried a ARION DDM - 1.
This pedal produced the best sound by far, and to my suprise was one of the cheapest guitar pedals on the market. I highly recamed it to any person as good as me.( which is hard to match )
It was so easy to get a great sound out of i didn't need to use the manual.

Sound Quality : 10
I was using a 100 watt Marshall valvestate amp through an IBANEZ rg470
and a GIBSON les paul studio. ( i got all this awsome shit and i'am only 15 ) Daniel Johns from SILVERCHAIR uses a delay on track 7 on neon ballroom called DO YOU FEEL THE SAME.

Reliability : 10
I used it a big show we had and it was totally awsome.
