I guess here is where we rate the tuning ability. it doesn't track as well as some tuners, but it gets the job done. I don't exactly like this unit, because sometimes it doesn't read my notes correctly. it constantly screws up, reading the note lower than it is.
here's proof that this unit is more trouble than it is worth. I was tuning up my guitar, I was on my G string, and I thought I heard a perfect pitched G. I read on the tuner, it says D# or something. So I continue to tune up, and up, and up, after about four twists of the tuner, it's at like F. So I give her one more crank...SNAP! my string busts. And IIRC, just before I cranked that last time, the tuner reading had jumped from F to D (high D). So here's the result. I try throwing on some new strings, and my nut pops off. RIGHT...too much string tension from tuning it before. So I get it into a shop to get it set up and readjusted. Bill comes to $36.00.
They said they included new strings. They didn't include new strings. I want my new strings. Now my old strings are giving me problems, and they set up the intonation with old strings. So now I have to take it in and demand new strings. Which I don't want to do, because they're nice guys.
This is all because of that stupid tuner that didn't track right. GRR!

Arion...okay. Sometimes it doesn't turn on or tune right.
I've had three products from Arion. I guess you'd say I'm an Arion veteran because I've owned more Arion effects than I have Boss or DOD. And I've kept all of my Boss and DOD effects. I've already sold two of my Arion. If this unit doesn't shape up fast, I'll end up selling it too. Or give it to the poor.

WHAT!?! SAY WAHT YOU?! (impersonating Bill Cosby)...I doubt they are around. Musicians Friend still sells some of their stuff, but my guess is that soon they will be obsolete.

Good tuner for a five dollar bill. Pay a penny more and it's a ripoff. Like I said, it doesn't tune right all of the time, and the grief it put me through with my fender stratocaster, I'd be hard pressed not to do something mean to it. I think I threw it at the wall once, or slammed it on the floor because it wouldn't tune right. I'm not sure if that fixed the problem, but hey...I like funny dancing pandas! Weeee...

VERY easy to use. turn it on, play into the built in mic, or plug it in and play your note to tune it.

average tuning i suppose. I tuned it up and compared it to my fully in-tune yamaha and it was off just a smidgen. I fixed that though, by tuning the guitar to itself after I got it situated with the Arion.

it's plastic, but it's heavy and it's built like a rock. I would definately use it to tune my gear up at gigs.

great tuner, does what it's supposed to. Arion really makes some good gear, IMO. But, as with the other cheapo not known brands like DOD and Danelectro, they have a hit and miss type of gear pattern. For $3.00 I just said what the heck; I don't have a tuner in my arsenal, so I thought three bucks was worth it.
