May take you awhile to get the right sound, but once you find one its cool. 4 knobs, Direct, Dist1, Tone and Dist2...

Sound Quality : 8
Pretty good sound...but like I said, it takes awhile getting used to it. I have a good setting for the music I play. Direct and Dist1 knob at about 10-11 o'clock, and Tone and Dist2 at about 2-3 o'clock.

Reliability : 7
plastic chasis...had it for a week and a bit...so i wouldn't know how long it lasts.. seems reliable though

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
Its a great distortion pedal for the beginning bassist..who wants a distortion pedal..the only problem is, is finding the right sound.

This is a fairly easy pedal to use and set up but it takes some time to get a good distortion out of it. It's a cheap pedal and it works like a cheap pedal. it's usability is limited to the E and A strings it makes the D & G strings a lot like a guitar.

Sound Quality : 5
I have used it in a chain with my Sans Amp BDDI and my Boss CEB-3 chorus pedal. I use it only for my church gig every sunday and tuesday and this is run direct to the mixing board.

This pedal ads some noise to your signal and it acts like a pre amp so you get a volume boost when you step on it. Thats not always a good thing. This is not a quality pedal but you really cant fault it to much because they are so cheap. the acyual distortion effect is OK at best. Not very good. Sounds a lot like the distortion effect on something like a Digitech BP80 multi effects unit.

If you are considering this pedal for serious gigging don't. It's just not in the same league as a Boss, Digitech, Ibanez PD7 etc.

Reliability : 5

It seems to work fine. But I wouldn't expect to last long in a giging enviroment. It's made entirely of plastic and would probably break the first time it's dropped or gets stepped on by accident by a over zelous singer on stage.

Have not dealt with them. No opinion

Overall Rating : 5
This pedal is ok for the money. It's gets me by but if I need a better quality distortion effect I use an Ibanez PD7.

Musicians Friend was practically giving them away for $12.99. I was buying some other stuff so I decided to try one. For $12.99 it's not a bad deal. If you paid the original price of $39.00 it would be a rip off.

If was lost or stolen i would not replace it. It's really a toy and I will probably just give it to my 10 year old daughter to play her bass through.

The 4 dials are fairly easy to use individually, but to get the sound you want takes a bit of time and experimenting.

Sound Quality : 9
You can get a great variety of sounds from this unit. The distortion can go from crunch to mudd depending on the tone and distortion settings. And the two volume controls mean the unit can keep the low end while adding distortion, or but cutting the direct or distortion you can have a straight distortion effect (great for guitar as it keeps the low end) or as a volume peddle.

Reliability : 8
Given me years of trouble free use. May try a different brand in the future.

I use this for alternative through to metal. My settings are 75% direct 25% distortion and the tone knob at about 12 o'clock. This gives an overdriven tone but keeps the bottom end. Lots of testing and experiemnting is needed for this unit, but the results can be rewarding.

This pedal is pretty easy to use but it can give you a hard time setting it where you want it. I havent had it for long but i got it just where i like it and my band thinks its great.

Sound Quality : 8
It sounds pretty good coming out of my fender amp ( i dont remember the name of it) and my cheap bass guitar (its a real piece of junk) its a davison. I dont have any other pedals except this one and its been pretty good for me so far. My band already has a song that uses it and it sounds great.

Reliability : 9
So far mine hasnt screwed up yet and i hope it doesnt anytime soon in the future. Ive already used it in a gig without a backup and it held up perfectly.

I play in a rock/alternative band and its a good match for me at least. Ive been playin for a year ( im not good but i dont suck). If it were stolen i would probably get something else but i would consider buying it again. iTs just a great pedal for any beginner or anybody lookin for a distortion pedal.

Pretty simple 4 knobs Tone, Dist., Direct Level, and Dist. Level. Manuel was easy to read but not relly needed.

Sound Quality : 7
Sound is good I use a SWR LA-15 amp (100 watt 15 in. speeker) and a Shector Dimond Series Elite 4. Can get noise at high levels but at low levels its good not a pedal for a gig but good for practice.

Reliability : 6
I'v used it about 20 times and not failed once except when the battery went dead, and i would not use it for a gig id use my BOSS ODB-3 for a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never deat with the company

Overall Rating : 8
Id have to say this is a good cheep pedal for a beginer that dose not know what type of music he/she wants to play, I play Metal most of the time but sometimes I play punk. If it were stolen i would not replace it but save my money for some another BOSS ODB-3

Piece of crap, basically.
You can get a volume boost out of it.. with a small amount of distortion.
Otherwise the dist. is just horrible noisy junk. What a joke.
Save your money.
Manual is ok.. just full of lies.

Sound Quality : 2
sounds like crap at most settings. You may find a vol. boost and some small overdrive. that's it. I'd bet it's a one sound unit for almost everyone in the world.
It's noisy even when it's not noisy. that's my point.

I don't care what you use it with.. it's crap.

Reliability : No Opinion
I used it once. Just for the hell of it. I already knew it was crap.

Well I'm sending it back, of course. What a joke.
I didn't think there were any companies still making junk like this.
Sad.
And it's japanese for crying out loud! forget the cliches about thier manufacture. this one breaks the mold.
In fact, this one is mouldy.

There's no point in comparing it to anything, except another piece of crap.
If you are even a beginner.. this thing will just make an ass of you.
I'd also like to share this thought: It's crap.
