This little beauty is so easy to use, it is naively easy to use! Its simple design is its charm, brings a little smirk to the corner of my mouth when I go to plug it in, but then I input my guitar lead and WHAM! In it kicks! This little baby is so cool-ley cute and charming (somewhat rather intimidated by my rock like ways when unplugged) but like a gremlin turns when waters added, when plugged in this little mere acorn becomes a mighty rock goddish oak!

I have used this little gem on a number of amps for rehearsals, recording and gigging and have found that it is great on all, what is that first guy talking about??? Has he got the same pedal?? I play with a Les Paul sunburst with custom pick ups for heavier distortion and it sounds just gorgeous! Also played it on a standard tuned normal fender strat and still the same sexy sound passes through it, just less gritty as it has normal hums?
What we have to remember people is that this little pedal is so cheap if you get it from the right place, what the hell do you want!!! If you can play the guitar well it shouldn?t be a problem to get a cracking sound out of it!

Unlike other pedals, it doesn?t cost the earth, so getting a new one isn?t hassle! However, I have had this pedal for a while, loads of use, and guess what???
Still got it! still works great! Gig with it, indoor use, record with it, use it as a hammer if you want as stated above, bet it still works afterwards!!!

I play anything from AC/DC ? Black Crowes, an d this little number does em all good! I?ve been playing long enough to rip out a better solo than most off the top of my head, gigging for years, drinking for even longer, but rocking for even longer than that!!!
Listen guys/gals, if any freshman guitar players want a cheap little pedal with an immense heavy sound, get it, don?t listen to the top statement! Too much ego in the head of some to use a cheap pedal!

I used one of these a little over 20 years ago on a lame ass little recording session ( for some no talent-geek who though he was Dio ) where the engineer wanted something crazy and over the top. I ran a strat into the metal master then into a rockman, ( on the max distortion setting with chorus & delay )then into some sort of direct box to the board. I'd forgotten all about this pedal till I heard the tape a few weeks ago. What a BLAST!! For a super cheap pedal, it really helped nail the vibe of what the producer ( whatever...it was no big project, so don't think I'm going all Hollywierd on ya! )was looking for. Juicy, fat, squawky harmonic laden lead tone. Made me sound about 10 time better than I was at the time! Any pedal ( or combo thereof ) that can make you sound better than you are is aces in my book! Glad to see the company is still around producing affordable pedals for the aspiring metal mullet heads. No big whoop here..just wanted to share a "fond" rememberence of day's gone by now that I'm older than dirt. I din't buy the damn thing by the way...borrowed it from a music store I worked at. Used it, returned it.

Plug and play, very easy. Drive, level, high and low frequency controls. Direct- soft slider switch. Stereo out. These out jacks can be used mono as well. Plug in out 1, set switch to direct. Plug in out two, set switch to "soft". I don't know why they labeled it "soft", it is definitly not. The sound is just as heavy, but seems to be EQ'ed a little different, sounds more Marshally. I love this setting, gets that hollow sound we all know and love.

I use a variety of guitars, Fender style(single coil), Gibsom style(humbuckers). Fender, Traynor, Sound City all tube. I love the sound of this pedal. I don't know what the previous reviewer wants a pedal to do. This one does what it says. It's a very heavy sound. Use it with a little compression and it will sustain forever. Sound like your favorite loud heavy rock guitar player. It is a little noisy, but I haven't found a heavily distorted sound from a pedal that isn't, and I have 12 different overdrives, distortions, and fuzz boxes. For the price it's unbeatable. As with all Arion effects, it has two outs, use the second out and switch to the "soft" setting for a great Boston, Queen, etc., style distotion. The high and low frequncy knobs do just what they should. You can dial in loads of bottom with this thing.

Like all Arions, the battery cover and knobs are the weak link. If you are on the road playing every night, you might want a more durable pedal. But for home use or occasional gigs, these will hold up.

Great. I really do like the sounds this pedal can give me. I don't use it much. But when I'm in the mood to rock, this pedal definately gets the job done.
