Ease of Use : 10
It's an EQ so it's very easy to use - just cut and boost the frequencies to your taste. That being said, the sliders are very sensitive - a little goes a long way so I've found I have to make adjustments in very small increments.

Sound Quality : 10
I play both a Telecaster and a Gretsch 5120 into a Deluxe Reverb. I purchased the EQ to have a little more control over the midrange of my amp since the DR only has bass and treble controls. It does exactly what I want it to do and I get a very clean, transparent sound with no noise. I'm very happy with the sound quality.

Reliability : 10
Haven't had any problems with it and don't anticipate any, either. The thing is built like a tank - solid metal construction and the sliders operate smoothly and seem beefier than other eq's that I've tried.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for over 20 years, mainly country, classic rock, and R&B. I have used a few different eq pedals over the years including the Boss GE-7 and the DOD FX-40B. With it's true-bypass, the Artec kicks 'em both to the curb even though it's less expensive. I'm pleasantly surprised at how great this pedal sounds.

It's easy to use...

Sound Quality : 5
does sound very good.

but I experienced a horrible very loud shrieking sound occaisionally.
I use a power adapter and so I think that the loose battery clip was causing a short-circuit through the metal enclosure, so I've now wrapped it up in tape to stop this and it seems fine... but you shouldn't have to do this... and what if it randomly does it at a gig, and suddenly I'm responsible for between 10 and 100 deaf people.

Reliability : 2
see above.

Overall Rating : 5
I do like it, it does work... but I am scared of it making my ears bleed on day at full band volume.

Well, it's just a graphic eq stomp box. Every fader has its own eq freq written on the top and the dB amount aside. You can't get wrong!
Ah, I forgot: you must stomp the switch to turn it on and that could create confusion..

Sound Quality : 8
The tonal change is really audible specially if you put the pedal in front of the amp main in. That way let you to use it as a real volume booster too in the case you need it even if the result gets its own best on clean channel.
I mean, the tube distortion stage on may amp 'smoothes' quite a bit the volume gain coming from the pedal. In this case I found I get a better result inserting the eq in the ext loop.
Putting the artec before a ditortion pedal, it pumps the sound.
It gets a bit noisy if you push way up all the controls but I guess that's normal
Little cheap red led

Reliability : 6
My own is three months old, then it's still a baby. 'till now, no problems at all (I use only Boss ext power supply). 6 means 'I can't judge'

Never needed so I don't know

Well, let's say it does its dirty job, no issue, light metal box looks sturdy, analog, true bypass.. if it's gonna stay alive for some years then I'll tell 'What a little big business I made with artec!'
I bought the artec stereo chorus too and I'm considering to buy something else from them as long as I can get these prices

Ease of Use : 10
Its really simple to use.The main reason i bought tis pedal is because i need it as a booster, but instead of a tube screamer with this little thing you can achieve a 5-8 db boost without altering your main tone plus you can tweak any frequency you want. For example i boost the mids and bass and back up the treble a bit because my amp is a bit harsh at the high end.I can achieve a fat soloing sound like Kee Marcelo's for ex. without changing my tone characteristics.

Sound Quality : 10
Great for clean boost,as many other EQ pedals but this one is really versatille.
Its not very noisy, sure if you got single coils you need to back up the volume while not playing,in case of above average gain settings.
Also its true bypass, you can easily understand it by the pop noise when you stomp the pedal. This means this thing wont mess up your sound when it's off.

Reliability : 8
It seems very well made, its heavy and stable enough. The jacks are great they make that characteristic sound that i love when you're plugging in.
Everything looks above average at least to say.

Its a very versatille pedal.I'm playin' old school metal Dokken,Ratt etc and its great how this little thing help my leads to cut through everything in the band.
Higly recomended.
Last but not this baby is damn cheap..and damn good..
