It has a Time, a Repeat, a Tone, and a Level knobs, Straight forward. The manual has a couple of sample setting, nothing fancy. Page #3 talks about Artec Effector bypass or "True Bypass" system. More on that later...

Picked this up as a "cheap" Analog delay for my practice rig. 80's "Fat Strat" => Artec SE-CMP => Boss DS-1 => Artec SE-ADL => Laney GC80. This thing sounded ok for the $$, but after 2 hours I heard a "LOUD POP" and no more delay.

It is the Professional or Custom analogue delay of Artec. It has a Time, a Repeat, a Tone, and a Level potentiometer. It is quite easy to use, every pots works according to its note. :) Some setting sample in a booklet would be nice from the company. But it's the pro series, so you should know how it works!

Ibanez S2700 -> Artec ADL-2 -> Laney LC30II
You can use this pedal with batteries, but you will spend a lot of money on batteries, plus it is absolutely not an environment friendly behaviour. I tried to use with a Boss adapter, but the pedal was very noisy with it. So I bought an Artec Power Brick, and since then this pedal is VERY QUIET! :D The Power Brick works also great with my other pedals, but it's another story.
This pedal is great for Rockabilly/Country Tab Delay, or with longer time and more repeat a Shadows like echo. Using as a substitution of vintage Echoplex tape delay, the Tone filter is very useful. With longer time moderate repeat and lower level it works great together with the spring reverb of my amp as a vintage "Hall reverb". In this function it works great with OD/Distortion pedals. With extreme time setting, high repeat and full level, you can make some U2 like riffs. If you turn the repeat too high at this settings you can make some analogue synth like effects, without guitar. Some likes it... :D

It's simple, has a strong house, standard parts. I'm not afraid to use it without backup. I have it for two years, no problem.

Mostly blues and rock. In blues I'm a purist, so I don't use it. But I also like surf music like Shadows. In rock I use it a lot. I was looking for something that sounds like the good ol' echos of the 60's, and I'm satisfied with this unit.
If it was stolen I would test also the EH Memory Man. But that one is much more expensive, so it's very likely that I would buy another Artec.
