Very easy to use, a range knob to define the range of the sweep. a 'whish'knob to add resonance and finally you also have a button to change the frequency response suited for bass.
No manual is included but is not really needed.

I use a Fender 50's classic strat, a std Telecaster, Jackson '85 RR, Epi Les Paul Standard on either a Peavey Valveking 100W or an Orange Crush 30. on my pedalboard I tested with a Monte Allums modded TS-9 -> Artec APW-7, DYI Easyvibe -> Fulltone OCD -> DYI BYOC Tremolo -> Artec SE-ADL Analog Delay -> EHX LPB-1 linear Booster
The pedal is not noisy, it fits very well in my setup.
It sounds great! I've read some review where one said it isn't suited for metal, but IMO it does a nice job for any style.
Clean it gives a nice warm wah, together the OCD and the neck pickup I get a nice warm Hendrix type of wah not unlike a crybaby.
When using distortion it really screams.
Got some nice Kirk Hammett sounds out of it for example.
I noticed one thing, at night when I practice at home, I use a digitech RP250 and headphones and it seemed that the sweep only kicks in after a good 1/2 to 3/4th of the range, before that it stays muffled the whole time. Now when I tested it on my amps this did not occur, or at least it was not noticeable. So I mailed their support about this, on which they promptly replied on how I can alter the speed of the sweep, even with clear pics!
I slightly changed the speed and now it sounds perfect for me.

It's very sturdy, there are no moving parts inside, so It should last forever.
No need for a backup!

I mailed the Artec support twice and had a very useful reply back after half a day in both cases, even with pictures to indicate what I could change to get it to work as I want it to.

I play everything ranging from blues to classic rock, reggae, funk, metal. I play in a cover band where we actually play everything from Leonard Cohen to Black Sabbath. I d like to form or join an 80's Thrash metal band too at some point. ( I used to play in one in the late 80's begin 90's )
I've been playing since 1985, but stopped playing around 1997 restarted a good year ago. In the period that I was not actively playing music, I was working as a recording sound engineer.
This pedal is definitely a keeper, and I would without a doubt buy it again if it where stolen or broken beyond repair
Besides the fact it has a really good sound, the price is even better, it s cheaper than the cheapest Crybaby! this is a no brainer really.

The APW-7 is a great sounding wah at a very inexpensive price. It is made well. You can read all the features in the other posts. It has a range knob and a knob for the Whish sound. Together you get a wide range of sounds. It is super easy to use. The on off switch is under the pedal like a cry-baby. very solid and well built. there is a little bass switch that changes the frequency to suit bass guitar, or just alter the sound when using it with guitar

The Whish wah is very flexible. It has the two knobs mentioned above to alter the sound. You can get a very good normal crybaby wah sound, a modern boutique wah sound, or a bit more of a whooshy sound when you add in the Whish knob. When you turn the whish knob all the way up, you can get some goofy ring modulator tones from the pedal as well. I have been using it for a couple of weeks, and it sounds as good as anything I have been using thus far.

Only had it for a couple of weeks. It is made very well. Solid. There is a magnetic pot in the wah, so there are not moving parts to break. I dont anticipate any issues. I have already had this pedal out for a couple of gigs.

Great sounding wah at a really inexpensive price. I think Artec pedals are a great value. I am thinking of buying another one to use as a backup, but I might not need to. This thing is pretty solid.

I just received this wah pedal today and it was easy to hook up and get going.
It's a standard wah pedal - right side input, left side output, stomp to engage, rock the pedal to your tonal liking. The guitar/bass feature is really nice and easy to access as well as the filter and Whish knobs.
The switch feels pretty comfortable. I've owned a Bad Cat Moan (Rocktron) and a standard CryBaby - it may have been the switches on these other pedals but the Artec is a very easy switch to work with by comparison. One of the hang ups with switch wahs I had altogether was the fact that you really have to step down to engage the effect - the Artec was surprisingly smooth.

Currently, I'm putting a Fender P Bass through it into an Mu Tron III, EHX bass microsynth, Phase 90, Big Muff ??, Boss MZ2 digital metalizer, Boss DD3, Ibanez AD90 delay, and Tech21 SansAmp Bass DI. I'm using a Roland KC550 for practice, and an Ampeg 6x10 and SVT2 for gigs. This pedal fit easily into my setup!
One really neat feature is the Whish setting which creates a reference tone in addition to your signal. With it set right, I was getting similar tones to the Mu Tron III (not quite the same but fairly close) and after A/B'ing the two, I'm probably going to part with the Mu Tron. Don't kill me for saying such a blasphemous thing against the pedal gods - it just works with my setup ;) Also, this pedal can be used with a standard 9v adapter which is nice.
As for the sound, it's pretty full on the bass. The master tone control is very noticeable and not muddy or thin when putting bass through it.
I purchased the pedal thinking it would be more ring modulator/whammy~ish but it really wasnt. With the Whish turned all the way up, it can be a bit too loud. It sounds pretty cool through distortion but can drown out your original tone.
Overall, great sounding wah for the price!

It seems pretty well build and is supposedly maintenance free since it uses a magnetic potentiometer system rather than a physical pot.
It's too early to tell but I feel confident that it can go through a lot of abuse. Plus they're cheap $$$ so getting a replacement is not that big of a deal.

Right now, I'm playing bass in a Sonic Youth~ish indie type of band. We just started jamming so we only have a few songs together. I will be trying this out with my rig tomorrow with the rest of the band but I'm sure it will fit right in. Up until this point, I was using the Mu Tron as an auto wah type of sound so this shouldn't be a drastic change aside from better clarity from this pedal.
I got back into playing bass earlier (was playing guitar synth exclusively for past ~2 years). I'm influenced by a ton of different musicians but most recently have been really into Juan Alderete from the Mars Volta - he uses a lot of effects and is a really solid as well as innovative bass player.
Overall, this pedal is a great value and is recommended if you don't mind a switch wah. I'm definitely keeping this in the setup :)

Well its a Wah-Pedal. Isn't much you have to understand about it. It has two knobs and a bass switch. It can be pwered with a 9V Block or a 9V standard power supply. With the Range Knob you can dial in the desired Range the Wah Covers, and with the Wish Knob you can kind of boost higher frequencies... at least thats what it sounds like to me. Plus the tonal range the wah has is increased and it gets harder to control. The bass switch activates the bass mode of the pedal. Meaning it covers much lower frequencies. There was no manual, only a little artec catalogue.

The cool thing about this pedal is, that it has True Bypass! So it won't add noise to your Setup or change your Sound when switched off.
It's a solid wah-pedal soundwise. Has a pretty high range and sufficient tweaking options. The Wish option is pretty funny, might be useful for experimental sounds and stuff like that, but I have it of most of the time cause its a bit too extreme for me.
Haven't tried it with a bass yet, but using the bass mode playing guitar sounds also quite cool. not really like wah bit more like wow ;)

Looks pretty solid in a diecast-metal box. Also it uses a new kind of pot. Its not a typical mechanical one neither an optical. it works with a magneticfield sensing system, so it has no parts that need maintainance. Though the pedal started to squeak pretty fast but that was fixed with a little oil. Have it for about a week now and I would definetly use it for a gig.

All in all its a pretty nice wah pedal, and taking the features and sound into consideration its much more than you would expect for the Price. only thing i would wish for is the DC Jack to be on the left side of the pedal not on the right. can't power it on my board this way. Korean Company but made in china. If you're looking for a Good wah with nice features for not too much money, go for it!
