Ease of Use

Very easy to use. Plug in your power cords, plug it in the wall and your pedals have regulated power. One note: The two variable power jacks. There is no indication where the 9v setting is. I used a voltmeter and dialed it to 9v. Just setting the dial to 12 o'clock on mine gave a reading of about 8.2. One I got it to 9 I used a silver metallic Sharpie to mark the right spot. I give this an rating of 8 instead of 10 because they should have had a quick setting for 9v and have the power go to 18v for some of the double power pedals. It is "dailable" from 6v to 12v.

Sound quality is excellent! Do NOT daisy chain your pedals. I used to used my Boss TU-2 Tuner to power some pedals. Some pedals DO NOT LIKE THIS. My Boss CE-5 and a CH-1 were quite noisy via a daisy chain just to mention two. With an individual, regulated power supply, everything sounds great.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
I very recently bought it new on ebay (1/14/09 I think). So far, everything is great. I'm listing No Opinion since I've only used it for a couple of days. Assume 10, I'll report back if there is a problem.

The SPB-8 cleaned up quite a bit of noise in my pedal board. So far, I love it. I will never use daisy chain power again.
