Ease of Use : 10
This is a full feature compressor + peak limiter. All the controls are clearly labeled, and there's plenty of LEDs to display in/out level & gain reduction. If you know how to use a comp/lim then this one is a piece of cake.

Sound Quality : 10
I like using this unit in the effects loop on my Soldano HR50 head. It acts like an auto master volume, so I can use the volume knob on my guitar to add more gain without increasing the overall volume. This is an extremely quiet unit - a true pro piece! It works well on vocals & bass too, especially in the studio. Ashly put a unique dual realease circuit in the limiter. This makes it sound very smooth & natural compared to your el cheapo dbx, behringer, or alesis products.

Reliability : 10
It has a powder coated steel chasis, internal supply, double sided plate through pcb, quality noble pots, film caps, ... stuff that lasts & lasts & lasts...

Customer Support : 10
I called to get specs on this product before I purchased it, and I was actually able to speek to an engineer. That's HUGE!!! Their website is also very informative:

Overall Rating : 10
I play a variety of styles between my sessions recordings & local gigs. This comp/limiter is a crucial part of my rig. I'd buy another in a heartbeat, if this one were lost or stolen. In fact I hear that Ashly's coming out with another model that adds a 15-band EQ. I'll definitely upgrade to that one. Ashly makes some of the best EQ's around. Plus their gear is all made here in the good old USA.
