Ease of Use

Like all Wah pedals its easy to use, its really simple just rock ya foot back and forwards and awaty you go.
the ashton has a very shport throw on the pedal which i find difficult to use, i would of preffered more travel.
on the plus side it has a metal case so is solid

I use the Ashton in a chain of effects along with a Korg G3 multi effects(which Rocks) and a Boss metal zone (which also rocks)guitar i use is a scheckter custom and a vintage PRS copy both very nice guitars my amp is a Cevik? grat sound cranks up to 180 watts which is more than adequate for a small venue.
I like to play HardRock psychadelia like Hawkwind and the butthole Surfers, and im afraid the Ashton Wah just isnt up to it.
unfortunately the Ashton is the weak link

I wouldnt use it to GIG full stop unless i had no other choice the pot went crackley after only a month.
and the Wah is weedy and watery its just seems to lack the balls for Hard Rock, im sure it would be ok for a begginer but i would spend the extra and buy a quality Wah pedal

My overall opinion of the Ashton Wah wah Pedal is not good iv tryed to like it but iv had the vover off loads of times trying to adjust the pedal height, and loosen it up as it was really stiff i ended up spraying WD 40 alover it and that did the job.
if Ashton would of spent more money on a better potentiomiter and set the pedal up better it may of been worth the outlay but as it stands not a good pedal.
I will admit that i expect a hell of a lot out of a Wah pedal playing heavy rock is demanding on a wah pedal especially trying to do an early Hawkwind cover.....so i am going to Junk the Ashton and buy a Vox or a Colorsound a decent pedal that will be up to the job
