The unit is pretty much self explanatory, but the manual covers the finer points such as gain adjustments and battery save.

There is very little if any tone loss with this unit. Great wireless setup for not much more $$ than the crappy ones.

Just got it today, but it looks really solid so I wouldn't be afraid to gig with it. The connectors are pretty beefy unlike others I have seen. Judging by the looks, and what I've heard from other pickers, I'm gonna give it a 10 anyway.

I haven't had it long enough to break it but Audio Technica has been around forever, so they must be doing something right.

I mostly play Country and Rock. For country a clean sound is what I want and this unit doesn't seem to hurt my tone any. If it were lost or stolen, I'd more than likely replace it with the same thing. If I had the extra cash, I'd check out the Samsons, but bang for buck, this unit is really all I need. I LOVE the fact that it uses a regular PC type power connector because they easy to find should you ever lose it. The power supply it removable so you could also use it like a wall wart, but I don't know why you would want to. The sound is great especially for the $$. I've tried cheap ones before and took them back the very next day. I just happy that this one works.

Wireless Guitar System. VHF. Sold in USA under 'Freeway' label and with changed transmission frequencies in the UK under the 'Liberator' label. Frequencies vary between countries. UK setting (crystal frequency determined) on free band, not requiring registration or licence. Receiver easy to set up but the transmission pack has input and leds which are underneath the unit when it is in use on the belt or pocket. This could be re-designed easily for more visible ease of use. Build is plastic (China) but sound, and the case and presentation of the kit is good.

Good sound quality and easy to set up. Receiver (approx 0.5u), sits on top of amplifier, and transmitter is on belt, pocket or strap. Using with range of guitars and amplifiers. Upper frequency response range up to 13 kHz (AT spec) but this does not detract to my (50+ year old) ears. Device is nothing more than a VHF radio link between guitar and amplifier. It may be an expensive 'lead' but it cuts the direct circuit from player's fingers to the mains supply in the event of amplifier fault. In the UK this can be serious (230V rms). Amplifier fault, when guitar lead connected, can result in direct connection to 230V ac supply for player's strings! Providing you avoid microphone stand contact with strings, you should be electrically isolated with this radio link.

Would take leads to gigs and use them if local taxis too close and busy (Taxis share similar frequencies in the UK). It seems reliable. No interference detected so far, and squelch could be adjusted to control this to some degree if necessary.

Too early to say, but their web sites (.com) and (.co.uk) provide plenty of information.

It costs more than a lead but it does provide a link between guitar and amplifier which presents freedom of movement and an element of safety which is worthy of consideration. USA and other European residents (e.g. Germany) seem to have many more systems like this, available at much more reasonable prices than the UK, but importing into the UK (of USA and european models) presents problems with frequency compatability and legality. Free frequency bands vary between different locations. Check the bands which you can use legally, without payment, and investigate if import is viable. UHF, diversity and total diversity systems provide solutions to the problems associated with this simple VHF system but as always, you 'pay your money and take your choice'. I wish the Audio Technica had an on/off switch on the receiver unit. (You have to use the mains switch at source but the docking power supply is a nice design). For me, it is a low cost improvement on the lead. I can walk down the garden and still play along to my backing tracks (where the amplifier is located) in the lounge. At the bottom of the garden, things get interesting. Sound travels at 300m/s and the garden is 100m long. Work it out! Peace and good music to you all.
