Ease of Use
:

The manual is very clear, and setup was a breeze. Read the instructions, add a 9V battery plug it all in, and play.
Sound Quality
:
8
I use this wireless with an Ibanez Soundgear four string bass:
Ibanez-->ATW251-->Korg DTR2000 Tuner-->Lexicon MX400-->Behringer BX 4410 amp.
I found that there was no appreciable loss of sound quality. The gain was easily set within 2 minutes, and off you go. I was able to veture about a hundred feet or so without dropping out. I gave it an 8 because there have been a few transients causing sounds similar to pulling the plug before the amp is off, but moving a little effectively remedied the situation.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
I have only used this live one time, and I was able to get out of line-of-sight of the receiver without dropping out. I haven't had any trouble at practice with the unit. I know you get what you pay for, but so far this has been a little gem for around a hundred.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
I haven't dealt with Audio Technica, so I cannot offer an opinion. I would assume they are OK as they have been around for a while. My friend at the music store said they are pleasant to deal with when he needs them, so I have to trust him.
Overall Rating
:

I play mostly rock mixed with some country and oldies. I have been playing for about 20 years and do it only for fun. I bought this unit on recommendation of my pal at the music store. I was kind of apprehensive about a $100 wireless, as you get what you pay for, but I was pleasantly surprised with the ATW 251.
One caveat to all purchasing a wireless: remember that the wireless signal travels faster than the returning sound. The note you play now may be a little off of what you are hearing, so practice with it before playing out. It can be hard to get used to.
