In general I found it easy to set up and use. I especially liked playing chord free as I was in a "variety" show and was on and off stage several times with different guitars. I like the sound quality, but I'm not too picky. I do wish they would have at least put an on/off switch on the main unit.

I use it with my Martin guitars and an Ibanez Troubador amp, with a compressr pedal and para driver to get the tone I like. I didn't notice a lot of difference between the sound whether using this unit or using a cord. Just a lot more convenient and easy to move around on stage.

No I would not use this without conventional backup. Battery life is terrible. One gig I set up for and couldn't get it to work at all. Maybe that was me not reading the directions well, as I am not a big gearhead. If you use this, I recommend you do a thorough sound check and make SURE you are working with fresh batteries.

I have been playing accoustic folk/blues and fingerstyle guitar for almost forty years. Technology has come a long way and this does make performing in a large venue a lot easier. I think if I had it to do over, I would have shopped around a bit more, but I do like the whole "wireless" concept.

I use a Gibson Les Paul Custom with the Zakk Wylde setup (EMG 81 and 89) through a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier. The 601 was easy to setup, manual was straight-forward. I'll talk about the sound next.

This is the achilles heal of most wireless systems. This one is no exception. Be prepared to lose your high frequencies and a significant chunk of tone. I tried to brighten up my sound with the presence control on my amp, the sound man also tried to bring up those lost frequencies in the mix. The bottom line was that it was too drastic a change from using a cord.

Used it for one gig. No problems with drop outs.

My overall rating is reflected by the poor sound reproduction. And that's the most important thing to me. I'll try the SHURE diversity "the guitarist " system next. Rumour has it that it also eats up the highs. My journey continues...

Easy to set up. Is switchable to multiple channels. Has adjustable level out to amplifier.

Sound quality is pretty good. I can tell the difference between a good chord and wireless with a acoustic guitar. Distorted electric sounds the same to my ears chorded or wireless.

Mine died after about 16 months of use. Get a Nady with a three year warrenty.

A replacement transmitter cost almost as much as a new system! That sucks! But they are available, so is that good customer support or not? I say not, because I can buy the whole system on Ebay cheaper than I can get a replacement part.

I play acoustic folk and rock music. I have been playing on one instrument or another (drums, bass, guitar, singing) for 10 years. I have Mackie and JBL PA gear, Fender guitar amps. I like the sound from this wireless, but the battery life SUCKS. Plan on 2 to 3 hours from a 9 volt NICAD. I am going to try to fix my transmitter and keep on using it. If I can't fix it, I will be buying some other brand: Nady, Sure etc.
