Ease of Use : 10
Easy and nice, only two knobs.

Sound Quality : 1
You can get very different sounds from light chorus to hard lesly.True bypass - is it true. But after few seconds when chorus is engaged pedal start making HORIBLE NOIZ like frying eggs.Or even sounds like bad contact somwhere inside. Then, after all pop's and frying fx sounds pedal starts working again normaly with sound of good chorus untill frying eggs comes..... and like this all the time.

Reliability : No Opinion
It is built like tank.Hard aluminium case, but it is only good thing.Inside of pedal cheap components, but it is not so important, worse of all soldered points - they are very very poor.Seems like someone drunk soldered all inside.Absolutely LOW Quality.
With that kind of noizzzzz i can not use it on the stage and of course i will not use it in studio for making records.Better paly with easy and well known Boss instead "boutque like" pedals.
I will sell it if someone buy it.

Never dealt with BBE .
But shop where i bought it from, offered to change it for another, but they advice me straight away that all analog circuits making sometimes some noizzzz and they told me to be not so kritical.
In shop i tryed another and i had similar sound of frying eggs with little difference - sound appear after few minutes of using pedal.
Pardon my english.

Overall Rating : 1
I playng different kind of music from classical to death heavy. My musical expirience about 14y.Im prfessional engineer of electronics, i make my amps and guitars also, belive me that pedal was not built by professional.Probably some poor country with cheap workers who do not know waht they do.It is shame for BBE sell this kind of products. Im not sure that some one buy it from me, so one more thing i can say - GOOD BUY 120 BUCKS............

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy unit to use:

2 x control knobs (speed and depth)
2 x pedasl switch ( Vibrato or Chorus and on/ off)

In and out jacks inputs, power supply input and battery compartment with easy access from below pedal.

Sound Quality : 8
Very nice chorus sound on this pedal takes a while to get use to its parameters, the depth knob is seriously deep and you get alot of different chorus tones from this pedal.

The pedal does create some noise when activated, but most chorus pedals do; especially analog pedals.

The vibrato sounds are good but I use this pedal primarily for chorus.

Reliability : 10
Well this is my fourth BBE pedal and I have had no problems with any of them so full marks.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never contacted them, never needed too.

Overall Rating : 9
Great flexability for a basic chorus/vibrato pedal.

Sound quality is good, competes with Boss CE20 for sounds.

Works well with overdrive or distortion.

Very easy to use and incorporate into a pedal board or rack setup.

Easy, no triks.

Sound Quality : 8
Good quality chorus and vibrato.Good bypass, does not change original sound of the guitar.
But when pedal in use , i can hear sound like waves, probably sound of clock.May be it is common and normal for analog kind of stuff?
But, anyway it is good quality pedal for good price.
I had before Boss super chorus and Electro Harmonix - both i returned to shop in next day.EH did very loud "POP" when press switch and did same clock noice , but much much louder and it was not like waves, it was like mouse kliks ;-)
Boss just was not my kind of sound and was not true bypass.

Mind Bender for a moment winer.
I woud like to give 10 , but slight waves sound will down couple points ;-))))

Reliability : 10
Quality metal/aluminium box, nice looking.Very smooth, very sexy too ;-))) Pure boutique item !

Two knobs, two switches..easy.

The chorus is great with all of my other FX, Amps, and instruments. I give it a 10. Plus it has a unique, lush, rotary character that you can't really get out of other chorus pedals unless you move into the realm of DSP and processors like a Boss GT-8 or Lexicon. You can achieve CE-2 sounds, but there is much more speed and depth potential with the mind-bender.

However, the vibrato effect delays and kills your tone. The delay is slight and only a minor gripe, but the EQ change is a nuisance. Placing the MB after distortions it will cut off the majority of your high end. This IS NOT a "barely noticeable" smoothing effect, but a DRASTIC chop. I've never played with a Boss VB-2, and maybe it did the same thing. However, I have a cheap ($30) Behringer Vibrato (VB-2 Clone) that adds the delay and the treble cutoff is minimal compared to the MB. The vibrato in Boss GT's and ME's are much better in my opinion--no delay and no treble roll-off, just the standard processor issues.

If you have a simple FX chain and place the Mind Bender before your gain/distortion/soloing stage (at least when using the vibrato function), then it shouldn't be a problem.

About me:
I use a few delays: Boss DM-3, Akai Headrush, Digitech Digi-Delay.
Several Modulators: Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe is a constant, Ibanez PM7, Boss CE-2, BF-3, some other stuff I've modified myself.
But my main love is fuzz/distortion: Keeley BD, Keeley RAT, Malekko -B:Assmaster-Maestro Brassmaster Clone, Nobels ODR-1+, Z.Vex Fuzz Factory...the list goes on...

For amplification I use a Fender Champ (70's Silverface--GREAT for recording), a Fender Twin (the '65 Reissue), or my luscious, black Traynor YRM-1SC

I'm mainly a guitar player (a couple of Epiphone's with Gibson pickups and a Gibson Firebird) but I also use the chorus with Synth, Keys, and Bass.

Reliability : 9
It seems to be a very solid pedal. I always take a backup if I can afford one, but I doubt I would have any problems. I used to have an old BBE sonic maximizer. I never had any issues with it.

Never had the need to contact them...yet...

Overall Rating : 6
I've played guitar for 16 years, bass for 11, and various other instruments with limited skill. Currently, I play regionally with several different bands and do occasional session work. The bands play music ranging from heavy, atmospheric My Bloody Valentine stuff and loud riff based math rock, to Indie/Americana pop. The Mind Bender's chorus fit's in nicely when it's needed. If the Mind Bender were stolen, I would probably complain for bit...light a candle and set it adrift on a magnolia flower in loving memory of the MB, but I would probably NOT buy a direct replacement.

I think BBE tried to do a great thing, and it may be fine for some people. The chorus is beautiful, but the EQ issues with the vibrato make this a pedal I could live without. There's plenty of other quality choruses out there...if only I could say the same about Pitch Vibrato.

At some point, I may try to modify the pedal to fix/improve the tone removal...but until then I'll settle for a great (expensive) Chorus pedal.

The dials on this are like a univibe. Depth, Speed and a switch for changing from chorus to vibrato. It'svery easy to operate.

Sound Quality : 10
I will be honest here. I thought because of the dials and switches on this, that it was a univibe clone of some kind? Well, it's not. It's a genuine chorus/vibrato. I really like how this pedal sounds. The chorus sounds very, very nice and is capable of much. It can go from nice rich chorus to warbly chorus. The vibrato can do subtle vibrato to out of control, dare I say "unusable" vibrato. Basically, the parameters on this pedal are wide. The controls are very sensitive on this pedal and I find this to be very much what I look for in a pedal. I currently use a boss super chorus, which SUCKS ASS compared to this pedal. This pedal is in the same ballpark as some of the best chorus pedals ever made, in my opinion. The sound is great, what else can I say?

Reliability : 10
it seems to be built quite well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to contact BBE.

Overall Rating : 10
I like this pedal a lot. I know that most people won't give straight 10 ratings, but I find nothing wrong with this pedal at all? I like everything about it. I definitely got my money's worth.

Simple to use. It comes with a good manual, but even without it, its simple to figure out.

Sound Quality : 10
I LOVE this thing!!! I don't know why no one else has reviewed it? It's a 2 in 1 effects pedal, a chorus and a vibrato. The chorus is based on the way huge blue hippo chorus pedal and the vibrato is based on the boss vb-1 (I think? Its based on some legendary boss vibrato anyway). There are a lot of great sounds in this pedal, VERY, very versatile. I can play with this thing forever and never get bored with it. I tend to use the vibrato mode more than the chorus, simply because I have a polychorus and a small clone that I use a lot, but the chorus in this is just as good as these. It has its own sound. The dials are very effective and you can go from subtle to totally out of control. This is quickly becoming my favorite stomp box. The vibrato sounds AMAZING with a clean guitar sound, very trippy. Sounds good distoted too, but I tend to play it clean. The chorus sounds great clean and distorted. I don't know what else to say? I like this pedal a lot and recommend it to players who like modulation effects.

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems pretty sturdy to me?

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I play trippy, ambient rock. This pedal suits my style to a T. I also play heavy rock and use this pedal constantly. I would have to call this pedal pretty flawless. I don't understand why it's not that popular? I suppose it's because it's new? Anyway, like all pedals, test it out before you buy it, but if you have good taste in effects, you will definitely love it.
