Very easy to use. Plug it in to AC and plug in your effects. DIP switches on the bottom of the unit are available if you need to change the default voltage of any of the outputs. 6 of the 8 outputs are rated at 100ma and can be switched between 9 and 12 volts. The remaining two outputs are rated at 200ma and can be switched between 9 and 16 volts.
I hooked up the multi-meter and measured 9.23v on the 9v setting and a higher-than-spec 18.15v on the 16v setting. That actually worked out well for me because I have an old Morley volume wah pedal that wants 18v.
The Supa Charger comes with 8 cables that have center negative 2.1mm barrel plug connectors; one right-angle and one straight per cable for use with most pedals. It also has two reverse-polarity cables with 2.5mm connectors for use with Line 6 pedals.
I have three pedals that use a positive-tip 1/8" plug connector. I bought 1 Spot 3.5mm converter adapters and they worked perfectly with the Supa Charger's existing cables.

Wow, what a difference this made in my sound. I replaced an assortment of cheapie 9v adapters with the Supa Charger and just like that the hum was gone! I wish I would have picked one of these up a long time ago.
I guess I have the Malekko Ekko 616 to thank for that as it refused to work with my cheapie 9v adapter so I coughed up the bucks for the Supa Charger. It really is expensive, but it works as advertised and eliminated the hum in my setup so that makes it worth the purchase price for me.

For some time the only way to power effects with no hum guaranteed, was Voodoo Labs.
Now a few rival products have made an appearance. This is as far as I know, the cheapest. Not so much in retail shops, at least in the UK, but definitely on-line (ebay).
8 power outputs, 6 of them 9 or 12v 100mA, two 9 or 16v 200mA.
It comes with 8x 3.1mm connectors and 2x 3.5mm (for Line 6).
It doesn't have a sag function for that flat battery sound, and some digital FX require more than 100mA, but not a bad product.
It is a bit big, slightly bigger than the Voodoo Labs, although not as big as a Burkey (which is also the most expensive unit), but it might not fit under some pedalboards, such as gator.
And it can do 110-240v, with a detachable standard "kettle lead" power cable, which beats Voodoo Labs hands down.

It does what it's supposed to.
And it is SILENT. By far the quietest power supply I've ever tried.
No complaints here.
Previously I've used Daisy chains, and basically any FX in front of the amp + gain + hum, even with a Diago powerstation, which is meant to be extremely quiet.
This is in a different class.

Soundwise, perfect so far, not a peep of hum, even at high gain powering FX in front of the amp and in the loop simultaneously - something I really had problems with before.
I've had to move all my pedal around because it won't fit underneath, so it's velcro'd in a corner, but there are worse things in life.
And now I can let rip with my amp on the highest gain setting, safe in the knowledge that hum is a thing of the past.
It's not cheap, but it's the cheapest individually isolated outputs power supply I can find, and providing it remains reliable, I shouldn't ever need anything else.

It's a power supply. Yet it could be improved upon. Seeing as how this is pretty much a copy (without the sag feature) of the VoodooLab PP2+, it's a good product that gets the job done.
Each output is dedicated, isolated & regulated, which is a must. Outputs 5 & 6 deliver 200 mA of current, the rest deliver 100.
BBE should label at least those two higher current outputs. It doesn't have to be large labeling, and could even go on the bottom. I wish there was an on/off switch. Those IEC connectors for the power cables tend to wear out quickly. And the DIP switches would best be placed somewhere other than the bottom of the board.
They did include ample cabling though. Each cable is about 16 inches long so that is great.
The blue LED is a nice touch. Not gimmicky.
Yes it's very easy to use. They could make it easier.

Quiet. Dead Quiet. I have 2 of the ouputs daisy chained to 3 and 4 pedals, and it's still dead quiet. I ditched all my 1Spots for this product. It was SO well worth it, especially on the time-based pedals (delays, phaser, tremolo)
Also I was relieved that it powered my Line6 RotoMachine so well. That pedal can act wildly depending on which power supply it's using (Boss/Zoom/Danelectro) Meaning, the difference between 9v, 9.6v, and 12v makes the output just crazy loud!
I just don't see how any improvement can be made soundwise.

I sure hope it's reliable. The housing is great and I know it can be stepped on without incident. Still I'm a little cautious about BBE's stuff. I've cracked open a few of their pedals and, well they shouldn't be opened up really. They use very cheap flaky cable on their stomp switches, the PCB traces lift off easily (like if you touch it! It's that bad) and I've had a bad pot on a Boosta Grande, and 2 DOA power supplies that came with the Boosta Grandes...
I just don't know. This appears to be built much better than their pedals are. If anything ever flakes out on this, I'm calling the company to replace it. I won't attempt to repair it myself considering what their pedals are like inside.

I emailed them a few days ago praising the product and making some suggestions. I haven't heard back from them. Also no manual came with the Supa Charger, so thank goodness I was by a computer and they have the manual online, or I wouldn't have known which outputs were the 200 mA ones!
I asked where I could find the 1/8" and 9V battery snap adapters, since their manual says you can get them. No reponse. I can't find them anywhere, and I had to get ones from Godlyke & Visual Sound.
I've emailed them in the past about another product and never heard back.

There seems to be a lot of other companies that take the time to refine their products a bit more before hitting the market, and BBE continues to disappoint me in this category.
In other words I think this is about the only BBE product I would buy. I bought it because I don't want/need the sag function of the PP2+, it comes with the cables, and the price was great. So I'm taking a chance, but I've got a good feeling this one will be fine. Time will tell.

ok, i bought this to replace my dunlop dc brick and because it was much cheaper than a voodoo lab ppII. my favorite pedal is my orange ross phaser. however it couldnt be powered by my dc brick as it needs isolated outputs. bbe includes a couple reverse polarity power cables too, A BIG + FOR ME.
PROS :
A] 8 isolated outputs with mini dip switches for more voltage.
B] reverse polarity cables!
C] EXTREMELY quiet. less noise than my dc brick.
D] 110/230 V operation.
E] uses a computer cord instead of a wall wart.[i bought a 10' euro 2 prong cord for my overseas travels.]
CONS:
A] it is larger than a voodoo lab or dc brick
B] it runs a little warm,like a transformer.
C] i wish it had the voltage ''sag'' option of the PPII.some pedals really sound great at 4.5v

time will tell how reliable it is. my dc brick has been around the world for the last 10 years without one issue. if it can hold up this well i'll be very happy.
it does get a little warm, but thats the way it was designed.it has cooling vents so it shouldnt be a problem, but we will see.

all i can tell you is my board is much quieter since i got this. i was considering buying an expensive furman power factor pro to eliminate any noise. but the supa charger took care of this and saved me $200.00! by adding a barrel jack to my magic ross phaser i can now power it without batteries. this alone was worth the upgrade over the dc brick. looks solid, does what i need and travels well. looks cool too. if this thing is still kicking in 5 years i'll come back and give it straight 10's!!!!!!
hey bbe, since this is a glowing,un-solicited review, and the first one,how bought sending me a free pedal?
(hey, it doesnt hurt to ask! :-)
