Ease of Use

It is very easy to setup and get going, getting to the battery is a bitch, but I use a power supply anyway. I would like the Bass knob which is inside the unit to be a little more accessable, but I understand the design issue. Setting the Dynamics and Fry first are key then adjust tone and volume. I was able to dial up a very nice sustaining grind very easily.

I use this with two main basses, a rickenbacker and a fender j with retro active electronics. All played through an Augilar head, with eden XLT210 and XLT115 cabs, you need some ability to reproduce treble to really get the grit out of, but this is true of any distortion box. No noise, very clean switching, I mean dead silent. No extra coloring with the effect off. The tone ---oooooh the tone, it seriously kicks hiney, I can get any distortion I want from just a little grit to full on fuzz that sustains for days.

This thing looks like a small tank, appears very solidly built, the led is even recessed a bit so I don't have to worry about crushing it with my big feet, although I wish it were just a tad brigter, I am sure in a dark club it will be fine.
Customer Support

No Opinion
don't know haven't tried them yet, website is OK but could use a suggested settings section, or some hints on the extra bass knob inside the unit. The website also shows a dual channel model, mine was not like that. single channel only.

I would have to give this thing a total 9.5, I buy alot of friggin gear, too much actually, but this is one I will hang on to. Bass Player magazine just did a review of several bass overdrives and in my opinion missed the boat on this one. Of course they didn't even really give any useful opinion on the ones they did review (guess you gotta keep advertisers happy). Anyway, its mid priced for a boutique pedal, less expensive than some of the others I compared it to (Reverend, budda, fulltone), but for the depth of the sound and what it could do there was not really any match.
